Haven't updated in a while. Illness & life got in the way of ideal prep for the weeks running up to my Windermere swim last Sunday but I did it. Took 6 hours 35 minutes, but finished with a smile on my face so couldn't ask for much more than that. Absolutely gorgeous swim, great weather and great support. Such a sunny day meant the lake was busy with boats so conditions were a bit rougher than they could have been, but I ground it out. Lake temp of about ~22c definitely helped! Felt like a bath compared to the sea where I've done most of my OW swimming.
Have a 6.5km race round an island & a 10km club swim to left to look forward to this summer.0 -
