Cunningham seems to be a great man for talking but results talk and bullshìt walks.

At least he has the balls to talk.

So Benetton are away to the Kings today and we are away to Cardiff. We have 46 points and Benetton 40.

That gives you an idea of how precarious the situation is!

It could be a one point ball game after today.

Is that not just slightly removed from talking through your hole? :)

In fairness, I'm not sure you can call throwing players under the bus a brave move. His comments of late have struck me as rather cowardly

I just think sacking or forcing else out is the last thing we need. I know Ulster fans love a good sacking but just let him get on with it.

I don't have huge sympathy for guys lifting a significant wage and getting criticised for not performing anywhere close to the levels expected of them.

Sackings aren't that bad. I think we should sack the city of Belfast and build a copy of Dublin in its place

A copy of the Leinster Academy is all we need for now

There's enough crappy stuff already up here without flooding the place with more. :D:D

    BTW.
    Clarke's contract was up.
    Doak's contract was up.
    Kiss resigned.
Anscombe was dismissed with a paid up contract.
Mclaughlin was given a job for life at Ulster Rugby and HE resigned.
    Williams was sacked.
    McCall resigned.
Solly left at the end of his contract.

Probably not a lot different from other places. High turnover I expect.

Are we really drawing a distinction between sacking a coach and not renewing his contract? Are we really saying Kiss "resigned"?

    Come on lads.

Whatever is wrong at Ulster, Cunningham is very far down the list of causes.

People clearly need someone to constantly blame...Doak has gone, Clarke has gone, Kiss has gone, Gibbes is going, Logan appears to be a lame duck...so obviously it's Cunningham's turn...

Cunningham and Logan are the only two constants through this whole shït heap of an era though. At some point you have to start looking at what the people appointing others are doing wrong.

    They're not the only constants.

In positions of management, I mean.

What is his position in the Ulster Branch? Do the Branch really have any influence on the professional setup apart from a free lunch?

He's on the management committee and main branch committee which are main decision makers in areas of pro game as well as amateur

BP win for Benetton in South Africa.

If Ulster lose tonight, could be a nervous few weeks

If they lose to night they can relax as it is all over for the season.....:D:D:D

Results early (???) next week might be more important.

Benetton's next game is at home to the Dragons which you'd fancy them get points from. Personally, unless Jackson returns for the last few games, then I think we're in serious trouble.

I’d love to know what Peel brings to the table because we look clueless ball in hand every week.

    Fairly clueless without it too.

I've been spoiled by watching Ireland. Everything they do is so precise. Their clear outs are almost always perfect, defence comes up in a fast line to smother opposition, and their attack is built upon retaining possession and making steady progress up the field. Then players who are good at picking lines to attack and passers who can put them into gaps.

There's none of that with Ulster. Players neither come off the line fast nor spread out to create a proper drift, allowing Cardiff to get out wide and make metres. The attacking strategy seems to be give the ball to Henderson or Mc Closkey and hope they get over the gain line. If they don't do that it's hope Piutau does something magical from fullback.

That last passage of play sums it up quite well. The ball was given to Piutau who offloads behind the back to Stockdale who has four defenders in front of him. He runs directly at them and gets bundled into touch.

Without a pack it wouldn’t matter who your attack coach is. If opposition isn’t getting tied down anywhere then there’s not going to be any space out there.

Can someone just give us a boot up the hole. It's embarrassing watching this.

Although a yellow card and no points against was good going

Didn't want to be in the Champions Cup anyway.

Jono Gibbes will destroy Waikato. He's shown nothing.
