Season ticket holders should have a refund. Scandalous 'professional' team.

Ah come on, Ulster aren't that bad.

That's mad. I look at those teams and think Ulster should win it. Just look at our game down in Galway last season for a taste of how bothered we were for the same game last season.

It's annoying if you are a ST holder, but the reasons behind the selection are perfectly legitimate.

It would be better if they had just gone all out and picked a load of U20s as they could have marketed it as watchi g the stars of the future. But instead we've got a bunch of journeymen playing with a few exceptions.

It's good to see McPhillips at oh.
Very interesting selection. Nagle is most likely playing for a contract! I think it will be close.

Was talk he may be off to Italy. Personally I think if he had been got more game time he would of excelled.

I'd rather have seen Lowry at 10

I actually think this could be a bit of a rout. Leinster's backline is very experienced, and their pack is solid.

Apart from their European games Leinster haven’t been great recently. Here’s their last 4 Pro14 games all with stronger line ups:
    Glasgow loss (home)
    Benetton draw (home)
    Edinburgh loss (away)
    Cheetahs tough win (home)

Neither coaching team will have specifically game planned for this one so both teams will revert to their base systems. Leinster are obviously ahead of Ulster in that regard but with a wet, windy day tomorrow both sides won’t be too pretty. Really could go either way.

Two really weakened teams and an absolutely s*** day.

    Can't wait for this one...

If anything we'll hopefully get to see more than 5 mins of:

    Rea Snr & Jnr
    McBurney
    O'Hagan
    Owens
    Busby

It does have dead rubber all over it. But i do enjoy seeing new players. Will it be a swan song for a few?

True, and I hope Rea Jnr and O'Hagan get some decent minutes

Bizarrely if it had been a better day I'd have been intrigued to see Nelson at 12. Unfortunately for him it's more a day for a McCloskeyesque 12 than a passing and kicking second five

I was reading on Twitter than Leinster gave the go ahead for Nagle to play today. Usually players on loan won't play against their parent province. Makes sense to be fair. There is chat on UAFC that Nagle is Italy bound next season.

Thought Nagle would of excelled with continued game time. Would be happy to keep him, it's just justifying it with Carter coming and trying to bring academy players along.

Reading Dalton has been sent to Australia on placement for game time over the summer.

    Organised by the IRFU!

In fairness, IFRU realy seem to be aiding Ulster in getting their act together, trying to maximise local talent.

You’ll thank me next to you have to write a covering letter for a job application...

Dalton has potential, and it's easy to forget just how young he is. He played 4 or 5 games last season, but last year was his first year out of school, he was 18/19. Not that I'm comparing him to James Ryan, but I believe Ryan would have been 3 years out of school before making his Leinster debut so it shows just how young Dalton is.

However he needs to get his head right, and maybe a few months out of his comfort zone will help.

What’s the craic with getting tickets at the gate? Thinking about driving up. Is the weather supposed to be bad during the game?

    Very helpful indeed.

I’m sure the poster puts the same amount of effort into a post on boards on Saturday morning as they do a job application......

Tickets available at the gate from 3.15, so if you're coming from Dublin you will.need to get a move on. You can book them in advance.

Weather is ok at the minute. Persistant drizzle, but not very heavy, not really windy either but that's forecast to change

Check out the match day guide on the Ulster rugby website.

Bought them off Ticketmaster, though that proved to be such a frustrating exercise I feel like going to the pub instead. Everything about that company is disfunctional.

100%, but the ref can't actually see anything with the wide angle and the AR wasn't exactly clear on what happened either.

Think Reidy's now concussed after a clearout! Rea on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,538 ✭✭✭launish116

Poor McPhilips, waited all season for an opportunity and bluffed two kicks now.

That's red every day of the week. Clancy completely bottled it. And that's from a Leinster fan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,150 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Bizarrely I'm very encouraged to see Leinster's scrum on top here

Big chance for Rea Jnr, he has gone well since coming on.
