Yeh, Paddy Jackson who was just back from a tour to SA where he was the starting 10 is a fringe player.

Nope, in fact I have a memory of you spending months defending your opinions.

I want to understand this culture that the original poster suggested needs to be stamped out of rugby.

If anyone who does understand such a thing wants to explain it, I'd love to hear from them as well.

What is important to me though, when dealing with reality, is that there are credible complaints of its existence and evidence of the behaviour. What we do from there is a very difficult question to answer, but the IRFU are quite good at dealing with those types of issues. I'm more confident in them handling it than I would be most other sporting bodies that I can think of.

    Doesn't really answer my question.

At what point do you damage your reputation? When you commit the act or when people find out?

I think anyone who types anything/sends pics/gifs etc and thinks it will 100% stay private weather famous (but especially anyone in a high profile position) or not in this day and age is an idiot.
There is always the chance no matter how small it will be screen shot and passed around.

Very very disappointed with this decision. The popular thing is not always the right thing to do. The national team is my only interest, and we have lost Sexton’s natural replacement for many years to come. The punishment simply does not fit the crime. Gilroy’s txt message is arguably more distasteful than Jackson’s but the court of social media wasn’t baying for his blood, so he gets a reprieve. Clearly, it is an ‘amicable’ departure, and they are leaving financially well remunerated, I can only cling to the hope that this might indicate that Paddy could return to these shores 2/3 years down the line, while in the prime of his career.

They don't 'disagree' with me. Much like the laws of the game, there are certain interpretations in certain circumstances that could be interpreted to enable a dismissal. The circumstances are not identical (or even similar), hence the result could deviate substantially.

In my opinion and in the expert opinion of someone commenting specifically on the case, it's not clear cut.

Right, but you at least appreciate the difference between bringing the IRFU into disrepute and bringing themselves into disrepute.

Their reputation has undoubtedly been damaged. It's very easy to prove thanks to the very conveniently time, and I assume specifically worded, public statement from a main sponsor. They committed a full and (I assume) fair review as they are required to. I don't see how anyone thinks the law is not going to be on their side.

Man he is getting serious benefit here, we'll take his word for it, he should not persye a medical career if he can't tell fresh from mentrual blood.

So these parties you leave, they won't even walk you to the door when one of the guests semen is on your pants?

    ???

She was not only walked to the door, but she was accompanied home in a taxi.

    What are you on about?

Well I was referring to venjur not being walked to the door of his parties but anyway.

Why didn't paddy Jackson, who had her blood from and internal laceration(caused by blunt force trauma) on his duvet walk her to the door given it was his house? Why didn't he call her to find out if she was ok?

If it was your sister or female friend would you prefer if she was involved in the Munster threesome or the Ulster threesome?

The 'laceration' you've been basing a lot of your comments on was disputed by a doctor; stop bringing it up as fact when it was disputed by someone with much more medical experience than you.

    Listen 'lad'

What are you talking about Dr Phillip lavery literally said there was a 1cm laceration caused by blunt force trauma.

He did not conclude that it was caused by non consenual sex and neither did I.
How disrespectful to call me 'lad'. How dare you.
There was more than one doctor at the trial, perhaps the fact she was female meant you ignored her opinion.

The doctor you refer to who gender you seem preoccupied with, stated that she could not ascertain whether the blood was menstrual or fresh from the DVD she viewed of the examination. She did not perform a first hand examination and she did not deny that there was a lasceration.

So you see, the cut exists and has been confirmed by people with far more medical experience than you.

It's incredible and quite disturbing that there are actual people who seem to believe the act of a threesome is somehow the issue here.

Could anyone amidst the carnage give me the lowdown on Matty Rea? Only seeing the game fully now and he looks a real find

He's a beast. On the bench in Japan, at least.

Younger brother Marcus in the Academy I think.

Younger brother looks more a ball carrier, looked good for the A’s until injury replacement. Think he has a bad time with injuries unfortunately. Matty was unreal last nite and deserved notm.

Just getting back to rugby for a moment, but I wonder is the end of the whole sorry mess helping the team? Although it was a scrappy enough affair last night, it was another win to make it two in a row. I'm not sure if that's a sign of things picking up, but it looks that way.

    No.
She disputed the 'laceration'. I never said "this other doctor said it never happened" I said it was disputed, there is a difference.
The point is; you were holding this as fact in all your arguments when it was not a fact and without it much of your argument falls apart.

I know was the guy before you who said but it's a bit of a stretch to say that Rea will be on the bench come Japan.

That said if he continues his progress he may start to interest Joe for a training squad somewhere down the line.

I've read a lot worse messages than those tbh from pretty reasonable and respectable lads.

It's just a way of letting off steam from the shackles of society.

If anything messages like that confirm that no rape was committed

"All three doctors had agreed the injury could have been caused by penetration by fingers, a penis or another object."

So if there was no laceration how she conjecture as to what might cause it?

All these nested quotes are getting confusing but is someone trying to suggest there is doubt over the existence of the injury?

I didn't think that was ever in dispute. The cause of it was in dispute - i.e. none of the expert witnesses could say for sure exactly how it occurred.

Who would be top of the wish list for Ulster supporters? I've seen Pollards name thrown about, anyone else?

Ulster fans will be rightly annoyed, only a couple of big names will satisfy now. As I said in my earlier post, I’m pretty sure the money to fund these has already been wired to Belfast.

Id say Paddy Jackson to be honest.

Yes that's all I was saying, it was stated that I use the laceration as a fact incorrectly. It is a fact, I never claimed non consent.

Are there any other players of that quality available?

Genuinely think it might be a while before the long-term option arrives up North. Just due to availability.

As in next season? Which is what I've been led to believe will happen.

    Eric Elwood player/coach

Seriously madigan isn't a terrible shout he was previously ahead of Jackson in the pecking order, he has talent, definitely could dominate the pro14

Id go further in saying that what they were sending back and forth is extremely mild going by some of the stuff ive seen. Its all faux outrage by the PC crowd.

Madigan has not exactly set the world alight in the Championship from the games I've seen.
