For people looking to join April whatssap

Guys keep fingers crossed offers aren’t all out yet!!!! They couldn’t confirm class with 200 people in just one day , so there’s hope for everyone who’s still waiting

I have been waiting since Jan 2016 I felt like I was the only one left and still no offers I'm on to hr almost every week but they say I'm still waiting on vetting it's very disheartening

From jan 16 too.. waiting to be signed off supposedly.. more like it's in the bin 🙈

Can I ask how long ago have you been told that your file is waiting to be signed off? How long does that status last can it be waiting to be signed off for a day, a week etc. You'd like to think that it would only take a day or so to sign you off.

Same as. Been waiting over a year for file to be signed off. Very hard to stay optimistic at this stage

I’d say it won’t be until at least after 1pm today, as that is the deadline for accepting the first 100 offers from Tuesday but I could be wrong ha !

Can you complain about vetting/sign off? And who to.

I’m not sure to be honest, but I think even if you could...it wouldn’t help ones case to get in.

True, I get that, but at the moment to me it's as good as not getting in. It's not even for me at this stage, it's to stop this happening to anyone else. It's awful.

It's not even a complaint, it's more a 'hello, we are still here from January 2016, can someone give us priority.'

That makes sense. I can also see some of us from September becoming the Januarys down the line if you get me.

I know where you are coming from and I have seen some of your recent posts, it’s totally unacceptable for them to keep stringing you along like this. Would it be worth ringing for an update and maybe asking to speak with a manager to explain your situation ?

Going by older campaigns second round offers come out two days after first round offers . Don't think anything will happen today (could be wrong) but I will be glued to my phone tomorrow in the nearest church :)

Tried that approach and you just get the same generic stuff that's in the emails.

Anyway, sorry for taking away from the happiness of all the people that got in, I will leave it there from my complaining. Best of luck down in the college and well done.

    Hey guys,
I’m just wondering does anyone know at what stage they contact your references or if they do at all?
I’m just at the tying to get a gauge on where my application is at the minute. I’ve passed all stages and I’ve emailed hrm asking but I never got a reply 😂 I’m from June 2017

My references got contacted by the local sergeant after I meet him and the super. I'm June 2017 also I'm still waiting for my physical date. As far as I'm aware only 2 of my references were contacted, my educational reference and my current employer weren't contacted to my knowledge.

Was it the seargant and super that contacted your references? I had my meeting with the super and the seargant in January and have all stages passed since February and as far as I know my references haven’t been contacted at all.

The sergeant rang them literally the next day after my meeting. An old employer and my character reference both rang me to tell me they had being in contact. I emailed my college lecturer who I had put down and he hasn't received a phone call and my employer hasn't mentioned it to me so I'm sure she didn't receive one either. When I was leaving the station the super told the sergeant to make dealing with my file and priority and get it sent back up asap.

Aw I reckon I’m in for a long wait then because my references haven’t been contacted yet. Was hoping for an April offer but there’s slim chance now I think

You never know. I was shocked with how quickly mine were contacted but I'm still waiting on a physical date hoping to get one soon! Well done on passing everything!! The local sergeant I meet was so lovely, very supportive maybe if yours was the same you could pop in or give a ring to see if there is any progress. I presume it's them that contact all the references?! The waiting game is a killer, every day in work I lie to myself saying just a little whole longer haha

Gone grey from it:p I spoke to HRM on Tuesday regarding my status of my file and it was awaiting sign off by senior management then. At least I know this is the final hurdle so I didn't ring since as I don't want to take up unnecessary time again with HRM.

Hoping to receive an offer but we shall see. Hopefully I'd like to think it would not take long to sign you off. Then again I maybe wrong.

Were they sound when you rang? I’ve seen some posts on this saying they can be quite rude so I don’t really want to face that haha
I thought I’d already be signed off because at my meeting with the seargant and super they commented on my family’s background being clear so I assumed my vetting had been done at that stage too but maybe I’m wrong too.
Fingers crossed you get an offer in the second round tomorrow! :)

They have always been nice to me if honest. Maybe worth a call you never know. Thanks overtime on prayers at the moment :)

Yeah I might ring them just so I know what the story is! Would you be able to send me the number you rang? And also did you need to give them your candidate number or anything?

Thanks a mill for that! Rang and they said that my file has been signed off so just to be vigilant with my emails tomorrow and next week incase I get an offer but I don’t think it’s likely because they seem to have a lot of 2016 people to get through still

Well you never know best of luck it's not unusual for recent campaign applicants to receive offers once there file is complete :)
