    I doubt having to much money has anything to do with it, it's his hardest fight of his career coming of a massive break in mma fights. You can't knock the fella for wanting to train and not be back and forward from the us doing media.

    People are assuming that McGregor is refusing to do media but there's a good chance that they together (McGregor and the UFC) don't want him doing it as it's inevitable that almost every interviewer will want to talk about what happened in NY, and does he regret it, and also how does he feel about other fighters suing him over it etc.... and I doubt that's something they would feel would be good for anyone concerned.

    Be interesting to see if any of the media broach those topics tonight and if so, how they're handled.

    One thing I would criticize the UFC for is the rest of the 229 card. When McGregor fights it's gives them a huge shop window and so that's the time they should want to load up the card to show that the UFC is about more than one fighter but if anything they've done the opposite here and anyone new to the sport will most likely watch and feel that what they see on the rest of the card that night is the best that the UFC has to offer, which is a shame as that's far from the case.

    Maybe it was deliberate, but I can't see their reasoning for it if it was.
