I've been paying no attention to BJJ lately. Who are the teams? Renzos, p10 hq, Polaris? Who else?

Uriah Faber has a TAM group with Gordon Ryan I think.

Such random pairings. Who the hell is big enough to grapple Barnett's besides Ryan?
The man is a bear. Saku's team is like a Japanese pro wrestling fans wet dream.

There should be laws to stop stuff like that happening.
Barnett would use that scarf hold/chest crank ti rip him in half.

i'm guessing it's closest weights per team against each other?

So Faber vs Nakamura, Geo vs Shaolin, etc?

No I think its a random draw and winner stays on.

Each team gets to choose their own running order, but they don't know the running order of the other team

Brian Ortega says if Holloway pulls out of their fight he will be stripped of the featherweight belt and they have a backup fighter who he didn't name. Seems fair enough to me at this stage.

    Could be Aldo.

He gave an interview recently saying he'd fight at 145 if it was on the 231 card.

It could be, only him and Chad available from the top 5 I think and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had Mendes as the backup either

In fairness, he didn't exactly pull out of the last fight

    Tinfoil hats.

Damn it, I don't have mine yet. Some poster on here yesterday was supposed to get back to me with recommendations on where to purchase one!

He pulled out due to injury. Not his fault, but that's the only reason fighters ever really pull out.

True but I just meant if he doesn't make it for whatever reason he will be stripped. Ortega said it's in his contract that he fights for the title or he doesn't fight at all hence the backup

Something that probably got lost in the aftermath of last night is that the GOAT Artem had his fight against Khabib's teammate Zubaira Tukhugov called off for the Moncton card. They are searching for a replacement opponent for Lobov.

Get Hulk Rumble in. Easy money for the GOAT.

So sad listening to the legend Matt Hughes on Ariel's MMA show tonight, it's hard to listen to him now but also appreciate how lucky he is to be alive.

I remember staying up to watch him fighting one of my favourite's Royce Gracie at UFC 60 in 2006 and he submitted one of the pioneers of UFC with an armbar that nearly had his arm break.

As most people know Hughes was involved in a tragic accident when a pick-up he was driving was hit by a train. Hughes somehow won the biggest fight of his life, and has slowly been working on his recovery.

There is also a documentary as mentioned here so I can't wait for it

He is a scummy human being though, no sympathy from me.
