PUBG on Xbox [preview program]

any one get "Host closed the session"?
 was playing DUOs last night and we were down to the last 10 watching a few teams fight in the distance. Telling ourselves we got this let them kill each other and we will pick off the remainder....then boom game freezes then "Host closed session" pops up on our screens. drops us back to dashboard, we scramble to see if we are able to log back to the game we are in. the option is there telling us games session still in progress. hit x to rejoin... starts joining a new session

Happened me the other night. Couple of us kicked multiple times.

I find i mainly get kicked when a passenger in a vehicle. Not sure if its just coincidence though

Last night was the worst I've seen the lag to be honest, I didn't get any disconnects but like I'd prefer one than trying to get in a door 5-6 because of rubber banding around. Before the last patch I might of got a lag spike or two but as I said 5-6 times last night and then back to normal then 5-6 spikes again.

Playing on xbox x and internet was 42mb/s at the time so defo they are trying to sort to issue with the new update but it caused more issues to me.

Although I'm not particularly great at this game it is up there with one of the most enjoyable games i've played. I've had one Chicken Dinner, a match in which I only fired 2 shots and a game where I was on a shotgun spree, killed 6 but didn't even make the top 70. Last night I snuck my way to the the final 2, two games in a row only to be the first killed in the next one. And that's just the solo games, the squad games offer a whole different dynamic. Yes it has many flaws, but those tense moments when u make the final 10, or when you hear an enemy in the same buliding makes it worthwhile.

Ive been in the top five a lot, and down to the last 2 or 3 on serveral occasions, as a solo player and in duos and squads, but the feckin chicken is eluding me so far with a little over 30 hours played. Did well last night as a squad but still fell foul of wasters roadkilling with a jeep, was a little annoyed about it tbh as our positioning had been top notch up to that point, but when the final circles are in open fields, you havent got much of a choice.

Yeah the vehicles near the end are a pain alright.

Had one win ( max mafioso won i died early and spectated) and a food few top tens. When i get to final circle I'm rubish

Didn't get any of that but most of my performances issues have been resolved. Buildings are loading in now around the same time as my team. Frame rates significantly improved and none of our team had any disconnects. One instance of rubber banding when we ran into a densely occupied building but it was fleeting.

I came across and awful idiot last night in a solo... though in the end I didn't put myself much above him.

I was running for the circle and saw some lad looting a house with a buggy outside the door.
I crept down and picked him off as he got back in.

As i was about to leave the house someone came along and opened a door.
I retreated up stairs... he just kept walking around outside... presumably waiting for me to enter the buggy.

The blue passed and instead of giving up and taking the buggy he just waited and waited.

I had loads of meds so stubbornly said i wasnt leaving.

After about 5mins he fires a few shots and i dont hear movement and sure enough he took a death to wait for me.

If he was that determined you'd have thought he'd storm the building.

Sadly for me the quick bleed circle came in before i got there in the buggy... he was that stupid I'd likely have taken him nipping out the back and flanking.

Some people are strange though. If he took the buggy i was set up in a way that it was hard to prevent.

I think you will always get that, always seeing people engaging people as the circle moves past them, people will play for kills the smarter people will play for the objective/win.

I've even ran beside someone into the white circle before engaging with him when we are actually in the circle, where as you will have people start fights outside circle just for the kill and then die themselves. There is trolls in ever game and I wouldn't be surprised if this gives them so sort of kick also so either Trolls, stupidity or lack on game knowledge...

well, theres a kind of unspoken group etiquette too, If One of a pair in duos gets killed early, its more fun to have a 5 minute search for aggro / blaze of glory rather than making him spectate for 20 mins as you creep your way towards the objective.

I think a lot of people underestimate how damaging the final circles are, then they get paralysed with fear of getting shot and end up leaving it too late to move.

I always aim to get into the final circle asap and obviously secure some cover, which then all depends on the landscape. Some of my usual squad members prefer to leave it late to get into the final circle but i find you leave yourself open to be picked off. This is another plus to the game, pretty much every game has a different flow.

The amount of vehicles driving around towards the end is also something that pisses me off.

My brother actually tried the driving around in final stages tactic, he was down to final 3 when he spotted a guy out in the open. As he drove straight at your man, he started shooting and actually killed my brother but he was unable to dodge the speeding jeep and got flattened, handing a handy chicken dinner to other lad.

In a duo game and got to a drop last night with others circling it in their cars, i got my friend to drive while i jumped out where the smoke was so it could hide me and took the goods.
Got back into the car and we sped of, had a 8x scope, as we went looking for some cover her game glitched and she drove into a haystack blowing us up
Such a shame, we were down to the last 6 and the circle was getting smaller but it was fun

There is a fuel gauge on the bottom left of the screen.

Id say you can get most of the way from top to bottom before running out.

I haven't played since the patch. It's supposed to be easier to blow up cars. Does that make any difference?

I can only imagine the **** fit the x would take with adding in more explosions. the fps will be down to 18 with that addition

Haven't played since the patch but booted it up last night to see if it's made much difference. Nope (on the One S anyway). Still runs like a turd imo. Back into the fridge it goes.

Any good tutorial/tips/youtubers to check out that give solid advice and tips for this? Xbox specifically as a lot of the advice I read online relates more to PC controls.

I picked up up a couple of days back, best I did was make it to 15th with three kills. All three kills were luck with me randomly blasting my shotgun in a house.

I am terrible at combat in this!

I like Proximitty, hes a halo player but does have a few good pubg videos as well.

Forget about reaching the final circle. Just keep landing in any of the hotspots and go look for contact as soon as you pick up a weapon. You'll pick up the combat skills a lot quicker.

The amount of fuel in each vehicle is random. You consume fuel at the same rate unless you use the booster which consumes fuel faster.

Anybody else hate it when just as you start to get good loot your teammate decides to be a prick and kill you for it. It's called squad for a reason.

Hold down LB for a continuous boost.

You will hear an audible boost kick in once you hold LB. Boats have it also but only give you about an extra 15 KPH.
