Even though I didn't post here last Christmas I checked in to see what people were buying. I saw something similar Mam, with a Santa in an old P&T telephone box. I gave it to my husband at the beginning of December when he was recovering from an operation and feeling down. He loved it!!!

Aw , that's sounds lovely Eleysian , and it's great that it cheered your husband up , that's the main thing ! Although I love my Christmas Tree , it's the bits and pieces like this around the home , that I honestly prefer tbh :)

Disappointed with the hot chocolates but the Terry’s chocolate orange muffin sounds good.

I was in Aldi earlier but resisted the temptation. Maybe come December....

I was in Woodie’s earlier to get some light bulbs. Took a diversion through their Christmas display! When I was in Aldi, little boy sitting in a trolley was singing Jingle Bells. Very heartwarming!!!

    I would kick out:
    1. Jingle all the way
    2. Arthur Christmas
    3. nativity 1
    4. nativity 2
    5. jack frost
    6. and maybe its a wonderful life.

    Replace with
    1. Die Hard 1
    2. Die hard 2
    3. Black Christmas
    4. Harold and Kumar
    5. In bruges
    6. Santa claus the movie
    7. Trading places

Whats 'Father Christmas' on the 13th? That may get the chop also.

Oh, and I forgot - I went back to check the Haribo boxes in my local Dealz - 750g (or thereabouts), the varieties were "Fairyland" and "Bear Buddies". I forgot to check the price.

    I checked. They're a fiver. :)

Dunnes have fabulous street lamps in stock too.

Santa Who should be on that list. I love that movie, especially when he says that children are wiser than adults as they see things that adults no longer see. Very magical, very beautiful. RIP Leslie Nielsen.

My bad, still couple of dodgy choices in there, I love a tacky Christmas but jingle all the way oh deary me lol

I thought Jingle all the Way would be awful, but I really enjoyed it actually!

I would put Holiday Inn instead of White Christmas, as it's the original film, and actually more Christmassy. It's the first film the song White Christmas features in.

Can't wait to start watching some Christmas films now. I have a good few on DVD, and might get some more. I don't being at the mercy of TV schedules, Netflix etc. :)

Same, I have been home alone with the youngest at the weekends, I have been putting on Harry Potter in the background as its kind of Christmasy without being a Christmas movie.

I will look up 'Santa who'. For some reason I can't stand jingle all the way, I know most Christmas movies look like they were shot in the height of summer but that fact irks me in this movie more than others for some reason. Also Arnie annoys me in it, though I love him in other things.

My OH was in Ikea yesterday and there was a load of Christmas items out. Lucky I wasn't there.

To be fair theres not much on that movie list I'd not watch, though I've not seen 2 or 3 of them either, but for me the order is all wrong would definitely have to rearrange that. Delighted to see the family man on the list too, love that movie.

I have put up a list of things before on here including TV shows like Gavin and Stacey, the West Wing Christmas episodes, and allocate them each a date to watch. it all goes out the window and we get to watch about only two or three in full.

Spend most of my iddle time on youtube watching Christmas ad's feeling homesick.
