Otamendi to replace Walker as part of getting Morata in for Vardy

Did Stones’ injury look bad enough earlier to warrant Otamendi starting for the next while, even in Peps rotating wheel

    4-6 weeks
That's a lot of game weeks!

    Team is currently:

    De Gea/Elliot
    Stones/Ward/Lowton/Maguire/Lascelles
    Salah/Sane/Richardilson/Doucoure/Tadic
    Aguero/Lukaku/Abraham

    Thinking:

    In
    Pogba, Morata

    Out
    Tadic, Aguero

    Thoughts?

    Good moves.
Pogba is price protected so won't rise before next GW.
You will have a very skinny bench next week though and some of those injuries could be serious.
Morata has probably got a chance of a double rise if he goes up tonight even though we have a Friday night start next GW.

Abraham to Wilson very likely for me. I've been on a cheap striker all season and I may finally have found one I want to keep in Wilson.

Is Salah expected to increase in price tonight?

Silva, Vardy out, hazard and wilson in. The plan was to get Pogba in for silva but changed to hazard. Hope it works out as the last few times I brought in hazard it didn't.

    No I'm Spartacus!

Also is it wrong that I start singing "You don't win friends with Salah" every time he scores before silently crying?

Mo, meet Aaron Ramsey, Jamie Vardy and my good friend, Yaya Toure....

But I think I'm going to leave it as is. Fancy Aguero to go nuts next weekend.

Why do people think Aguero will start next weekend? After today, and with a champions league game midweek, and league games in quick succession after, some semblance of common sense would tell us that Aguero and Jesus will alternate starts for these (meaning in the immediate term Aguero plays CL midweek and Jesus starts the away PL game again, vs Huddersfield).

I know it's Pep and we just never know but this seems pretty likely. In fact, there's two games a week right up until into the new year so I think tbh it's just time to dump Jesus/Aguero whichever one you have. Will be dumping Jesus myself soon he's done alright for me but I hate having that much money tied up in someone who you're never sure will start and hence are hesitant to captain. I have KdB and Silva a bit less explosive but consistent all the same and more secure of starts which should be handy as the fixtures pile up

Zaha in for TPT and moving to 3-5-2. I'll have Niasse on the bench for the weeks Sane, Sterling or Jesus or dropped. He proved his worth today!

Hazard and Pogba have given food for thought, not sure the latter is a better option over Sterling.

Morata over Jesus seems like a better option, may look to make this move after the Liverpool game

Hazard is the one after next week for me
Playing as a striker more or less
    Maybe even this week
    I'm flush with cash now

Have begun the move towards 15 starters for the Xmas period
    Wilson in for Vardy
Wilson won’t start all 3 games most likely given he is returning from injury but at this point literally anyone is a better option than Vardy
TPT is also in line for upgrade
    In 2/3 weeks
Hope to have something like this
    Zaha richarlson salah/mane Pogba Sane
    Wilson Morata Kane

Wilson is an easy switch to Murray or even niasse

Thinking along similar lines km...have 2 FT this week.

Surman & Vardy out for Wilson & Pogba (???)

    Would leave me with

    Salah | Richarlison | Pogba | Zaha | Sane

    Wilson | Kane | Jesus

Exactly the front 8 I'm looking at. Trying to settle on a Foster replacement is my next dilemma. Don't think I'm comfortable going with Speroni. DDG would first choice but it's a lot of money now. Courtois at 5.4 is catching my eye. Don't see myself getting a Chelsea defender so he'd be the cheapest nailed on cover for their good fixtures

Already have done Abraham to Niasse and Foster to De Gea for -4.

Thoughts on doing Aguero to Kane for a -8? Worried Aguero won't play/start next week and Kane likely to go nuts against WBA.

Kane was very poor yesterday leg was strapped and didn't look 100%

I've Niasse from last week but is something going to come off his supposed dive to win the penalty? I'd check on that before getting him in.

I'm set for the Christmas run-in

    Salah | Sane | Sterling | Richarlison | Zaha
    Niasse | Jesus | Kane

Might swap Jesus for Morata, don't think I can squeeze Hazard in

Niasse ran into the side of the defender so theoretically there was a minimal amount of contact which could and probably will save him

I need a Abraham replacement as well and can’t decide between Wilson and Naisse, wouldn’t you think Wilson is more likely to get rotated with him coming back from serious injury and Defoe there as well?

My fear with niasse is Everton getting a new manager and that manager putting Rooney up top. Bournemouth's 3 games in a week are nicely spaced out every 4 days. I still wouldn't rule out getting niasse though.

I decided on that exact front 8 (with Morata instead of Jesus whom I currently own) about 2 weeks ago and I’ve taken hits to achieve it.

This is the final week of another -8. Jesus, DDG and TPT to Niasse, Speroni and Sane but I don’t think I can do it.

Losing DDG and Jesus to fit in the 2 City mids doesn’t sit right. Think I’ll sell Jesus for Sane and keep DDG.

I was also really tempted about 2-3 weeks ago to just go without City. I may still do that.

Aguero to Niasse done, leaving me 6.8m (other strikers Lukaku and Kane).

My Midfield is Gross, Atsu, TPT, Dilva and Salah. I want to strengthen it in two moves.
Atsu to Sané leaves me with just under 3m
What should my other move be? I am thinking either Gross to Pogba or TPT to Zaha/Richarlison.

An injury in the warmup will do you.
Feck it if he gets sent off I'll probably take a 32 point hit as I'd be out of LMS :pac:

As part of my ongoing major weekly hits I’m faced with a decision I made 3 weeks ago but I’m finding it hard to go through with it now.

    My team is -

    DDG, Elliott

    Alonso, Daniels, Dann, Gomez, Martina

    Salah, Sane, Richarlison, Zaha, RLC

    Kane, Morata, Niasse

My next move was going to be RLC & DDG for Sterling & Speroni.

I’m hesitating now though as I could just go RLC to Ramsey as I have enough money itb.

I wanted double City 3 weeks ago and it’s obvious that Sterling has the potential to score very big whereas Ramsey is a drip feed of steady points and will go double digits occasionally. He is also more injury prone.

    So I suppose it’s Speroni & Sterling or DDG & Ramsey ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

There was a few reports that Luiz went through the warm ups like a guy that didnt give a toss.

If he goes down that route too much he'll have a very short return to the Bridge, Conte will sling his hook and yes, Christensen is a superstar in the making. Hes already good but theres another level or two left in this lad.

    Taken from Chelsea thread

I can’t afford to update foster to courtois
Bavies to Christensen on the other hand......will see over next 2 weeks

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,672 ✭✭✭ElTel

    Fab
    Daniels Jones Wimmer
    Salah Hazard Richarlison Sane
    Kane Jesus Sakho

    Nordvelt Atsu Moreno Francis

I removed Bavies for Daniels with my FT.

    I want Morata.
So do I sell Kane for 12.7 or Jesus in the hope of delaying the WC?

I couldn’t sell Kane. He’s in for the season. Unless we get reports that the strapping is an injury that is holding hm back. It could very well be. He doesn’t look in full flow at all.

Jesus will be in and out and I can’t be having that anymore.

You have City cover in Sane.

Edit - that said I expect Jesus to start next week so depends how urgently you want Morata in.

You could go Zaha/Rich to Sterling perhaps!

When at least one of Jones or Bailly are in the defence United will be more secure so DDG is a "keeper" for me.

Not only is he not in full flow - he's gotten sub early in the last 2 games. Spurs are nothing without him so he probably hasn't got the rest that he should have.

It's a risky option but I'm still holding off on him until he gets his goal scoring boots back on.

Going to see how long I can hold off, but looking at the following for a -12

    Dann to Dunk
    Jagielka to Klavan
    Cork to Hazard
    Firmino to Niasse

    Which will leave me with

    Elliott/Myhill
    Dunk, Klavan, Gomez, Mariappa, Ward
    Hazard, Sane, Salah, Zaha, Mahrez
    Aguero, Jesus, Niasse

And then following weekend I'm thinking of Aguero/Jesus to Morata/Lukaku - either both or 1 of them.

DDG and Ramsey look the obvious choice but when I started this reshuffle 3 weeks ago my plan was Speroni and Sterling.

That meant I could stay away from City striker rotation and have Sane and Sterling.

    I hear you.
I suppose the thoughts of playing two Palace midfielders is jarring.
The alternative is to beef up a defender and then give yourself the added selection dilemma of 4 at the back.

You’re bang on. I keep looking at the fact I’m happy to have two Palace midfielders yet I think they’re worth it.

If taking in Ramsey or Sterling then I’d be selling RLC and be going 3-5-2 with Niasse first sub or at least a decent defender.

Final piece of jigsaw is replacing Martina next week to have a strong 15 and I’ll have at least 4.4m.

I’d be more than happy to run with Dunk or Simpson at 4.4m or possibly even Chilwell at 4.3m if he nails it down.
