Nobody came out of that part smiling.

I had a knot in my stomach watching Louisa cook for the judges. My three faves now gone through to the finals!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 32,043 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Yep, my three through as well (I suspect they're the same!)

WTF was Tom at, hand-whisking cream to rescue his mousse with only 3 minutes to go? Surely to God they'd have a hand-blender or electric whisk in all their gadgetry!

And what's all that about cutting meat against the grain, not with it? Never heard that for a theory before...

If Craig wins, will he be the youngest ever winner?

I'm DYING to see Louisa with her hair down!

Yes, i think we have the same three faves, HeidiHeidi.

Poor Tom! I guess he let the pressure get to him.

Louise with her hair down - that would be a sight for sore eyes! Joking! :D It's lovely to see how she turns herself out.

Absolutely - there was a guy early on in this series with greasy lank hair hanging all over his face, made me queasy watching him. And I've seen far too many women (and a few men) in cookery shows that have to have served up hair-flavoured plates

To see a young 'un like that so impeccably turned out is just lovely.

I think Tom met his limits tonight - he looked under pressure through the whole hour, in every round. I wonder is he quietly relieved to have got knocked out?!

That won't play for me :( Can anyone post a screenshot or something?

(ETA - cancel that, got it to play - mmm.... I'd love to see her hair properly down..... but it suits her really well how she has it up for work!)

And much as I love Matt -a vegan Christmas Day??? No thanks

Right... who's in for finals week???

Ooh, an Irish chef judging, is that a first?

Can we have a whip-round and buy Jamie some long trousers? :D

Can't decide who I want to win this....

Louisa 'cos she's the only girl left since weeks ago, and I just think she's brilliant.

Steven 'cos hes the smiley giant and he's luvly.

Craig 'cos he's the bay, and seems to be at least as brilliant if not more so than Louisa.

Jamie 'cos he's just different. (but he needs longer trousers).

    Here we go.

5 hours??? For one meal

No Marcus, Steven specifically said his dish was NOT inspired by crisps - stop making a cheap joke of it ffs!

Hasn't Craig got to do desserts quite a few times over the series?

Will be watching in a few minutes. Don't mind who wins, but Louisa possibly has a slight edge in my book - because she's so "different".

    Gawd, Andrew Fairlie is gorgeous!

A bit unrealistic to expect (if they do) one person to plate up a warm dish for 30 people all by themselves!

How come the others had time to spare to help him?

I'd fully expected those from earlier courses to row in with those serving later, but Craig and Jamie still have courses to prepare themselves!

    That starter looks GAWJUS!

Don't think louisa is up to the level of the other 3. Steven is my favourite and has been from the heats. Now there's the kiss of death :)

    Oh Louisa :(

    Too much, again.

I know there's an uber-fan on here somewhere, but that Cherish wan gives me a pain in my face every time I see/hear her.

Lovely words from Louisa after the comments, that's a very mature head on a young girl!

There was no talk of how they all came up with the overall menu.

Surely they can't all have randomly come up with dishes that compliment each other - did they all get together beforehand and discuss?

I think we should be told!

The caramelised apple just looks amazing!

Awww, I really feel for Louisa :o

She's fighting so hard to be positive, but that just didn't go well for her.

It's still anybody's game. Two more nights to go!

    I really love this show...

The only talent show that is based purely on talent.

Really looking forward to Thursday night now.

Reckon Louisa will be gone tonight... it's a pity they don't just let the 4 compete in the final though.

A large part of me thinks (hopes) that Louisa will bounce right back and blow their socks off tonight - she's made of stern stuff, that girl!

But I do think it'll either be her or Steven gone before the final final cook-off.

Jeepers, that's an awful lot of black pudding

I can barely manage one disc with my full Irish on a hungover morning!

A whole dinner made of it??? Dunno about that....

OK, Louisa has abandoned the plait for a swept-back ponytail..... should we be reading anything in that?

Grapefruit? I LOVE grapefruit!! And what's more, I've recently gone on a binge of loving tinned fruit, of which grapefruit is top of the list - how's that for coincidence :D

    G'wan Louisa!!
