    You need radiator thermostats for any room you want to control independently. Any rads without the smart thermostats will be heated when ANY room is heated.

    The only rooms we don't have smart thermostats on are the bathrooms and hall/landing. These have standard TRVs so these will heat to the selected temperature when any other room calls for heat.

    I should add for a room that's infrequently used like a guest bedroom you can leave that with a trv also and just set it to min

    Hi, looking for advice. Moved into a 20 year old house recently. Current controls:

    The timer is on/off for boiler, which heats up rads and hot water tank. Switches on the right for zoned heating, upstairs and downstairs. Most radiators have TRVs fitted.

    Will this Drayton 3 channel system do the job? I don't really want to upgrade to smart TRVs.

    Or any better systems out there?
