    Hello,

Archaeologists in Egypt have recently uncovered ancient scrolls dated 200AD which caused excitement and confusion in equal measures when they were translated as "The Late Late Show has gone to ****e lately, and I can't get the RTE Player to work on Chrome." The scrolls were accompanied by some pictures of cats.

Here are some people who are most likely plugging something or have reasons to be uncheerful. 1,2,3 ...

Midfield General Graeme Souness of Football on The Telly, Liverpool, Scotland, Rangers and Boys From The Blackstuff comes on for some reason. Here's a sneak preview of Ryan's briefing notes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graeme_Souness

Michael Harding will do his usual thing of looking wistfully into the distance and tell whimsical stories of people he met recently who were doing unexpected things. And that. He probably has a new book or tour or something. Tune in and find out.

Maia Dunphy used to be RTE2's Go To Woman for One Off Documentaries, but now someone else is in Vogue. She's talking about Babies and Motherhood and all that. €160 a year for this. She's married to Johnny Vegas so that means it's a Vegas Baby.

Pete Conway is on Ah yes, good old Petie. The Petemeister. Pete The Beat. No, me neither. He's Robbie Williams' Dad. Yeah, that's where we're at now. He is singing with The RTE Concert Orchestra. Love Your Orchestras, says the Ad.

The RTE Concert Orchestra are here for the night (The House Band must have a Wedding or something) so there is also music from Celine Byrne who was in The Sopranos. No, that should read Celine Byrne, Soprano.

Also singing is Gregory Porter. Or possibly one of his relations. Who knows? Who can tell? Anyone for the last few Choc-Ices now?

Some business about Heroes of Ophelia or something. They will have to do the same next week for Brian.

Some plug for That new RTE Hairdressing Show Thing but my pizza will be here any minute and I can't be bothered looking up the name.

    Haha, great OP.

In Vogue, eh? EH? Ooh, Matron, eh?

If Vogue is the new Maia, then how come I don't know why RTE asks them to do things? Do you think RTE's apparently falling viewership figures are related to this?

The ad for the salon bollocks made me so angry this week I'm considering boycotting the entire show/national broadcaster.

The dog & cat hug, though. Aw. Come on, aw!

When I think of Robbie Williams' father, which I admit I never have before, it puts me in mind of one Thomas Midgley Jr., the man who both added lead to petrol and actually invented CFCs.

Both have a lot to answer for.

Which is just as well, cos he'll probably get about five minutes. We've got tv hairdressers to talk to.

We seem to be skirting around the most important question...

Did Teresa Mannion say the line on Monday?

I had a great time on Monday watching Dobbo presenting Rolling Ophelia Coverage on RTE1 and reading the Weather forum here.

And they had cameras in the Liveline studio, first time ever.

You wouldn't want those hurricanes too often but you need to enjoy yourself however you can.

Do these people not deserve a few minutes air time to share what they did (for the country) this week?

No matter the guest you be whinging as usual!

Yes they deserve the time, but unfortunately that man in Tipperary made a bad decision last Monday and tragically it cost him his life.
