Just saw a thing on twitter that car insurance is not valid (your not covered) during a red weather warning.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

looking at TV3 news, there is a load of people out in Dun Laoighaire pier taking selfies, the report is warning them back from the sea- the irony being that he is filming from the same spot- worth the chance of the next Teresa Mannion 15 secs of fame I suppose

No it's not correct. Irish Insurance federation or some other body like it has confirmed as such.

Cork City here. Boss texted last night saying not to come in, but just got an email saying they're closing down the shared office and sending everyone out, just as the worst is about to hit. Possibly not the best of moves.

Take a look to the sky just before you die
It's the last time you will
Blackened roar, massive roar fills the crumbling sky
Shattered goal fill his soul with a ruthless cry
Stranger now are his eyes to this mystery
    Hears the silence so loud
Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be
Now they see what will be, blinded eyes to see
