From the information yesterday the same busses could've keeled over. Why cancel now? If I was stuck in work I'd be fuming

It's not smart to bring a **** ton of people to work in the morning, and then cancel their journeys home!!

Smart would have been cancelling all services, all day. Not leaving people stuck in work! Who will now have to either walk in hurricane strength winds, or force friends/family members to drive in and collect them, causing gridlock.

Can everyone please report on their wheelie bin status.

Black bin remains in upright position
Green bin remains in upright position
Brown bin, please please blow away

    All bins are stationary.

    Mine still have their wheels.

Not even a drop of rain has landed in Dublin yet tonight, I believe as the great President would say this is FAKE NEWS, I wouldnt say met eireann even have the tech to track Hurricanes never mind predict route and speed of winds, If theres as much as a garden chair moved in anybodys garden east of roscommon I'll run down O Connell st in my nude.

I woke up this morning to 2 of my chairs in the garden blown over, Im also east of Roscommon. So I take it there will be video proof of you running down o'connell st in the nip??

They are playing a wait and see game with the weather this afternoon. It' quite possible they won't be back until 6pm - news updates throughout the day will provide more accurate information.

Why are Dublin Bus being criticised for trying to provide a service.

People getting the bus knew full well that there was a big chance that services could be cancelled due to a developing situation so they have to take their own responsibility.

Even Ryan tubridy stayed at home ffs.

True, and some people would have to get home from work this morning. The working day doesn't begin at 9 and finish at 5.30 for some.

Stupid Dublin Bus and actually looking out for the drivers, I mean, **** them.

People love to moan about Dublin Bus. They'll more than likely blame the hurricane on the drivers

Smart would be for the employer to close for the day.
