Even a draw would do us but here we are fighting for our lives against Waterford. No offence to the Deise men but Limerick will be licking their lips with anticipation at the thought of playing us again if we get there.

Without some sort of miracle it'll be another hiding in Limerick in 2 weeks time.

We're as good as home now thankfully.

All over Cork 2 25 Waterford 1 22 i'm glad to have got the win, but that performance really wouldn't cut the mustard against Limerick.

Well at least we have a Munster final to look forward to now. Is it definitely going to be up in the Gaelic Grounds?

Limerick will be favourites but i think there's a huge performance in us, and that going in as underdogs will be no harm at all.

Commiserations to Waterford they have been having an awful miserable time with this round robin format!

We don't have a hope in hell against Limerick. They will blow us apart I think again but hope I'm wrong. A very flat performance by Cork today.

    Didn't expect fireworks.

    A win is a win.

    We'll take it.

Next game is a free throw.

    Knock Out then.

Lots of improvement to be done for the knock out games.

Some amount of bitterness on the Waterford thread, with one poster hoping Limerick hammer us again. Why don't they just worry about getting out of munster for once. There a pity and a bitter bunch I must say.

Let's be honest it's going to be damage limitation in the Munster final. I'd be happy with a narrow one or two point defeat because that would maybe put a seed of doubt in Limerick's mind that the round-robin win over us was just a bad day at the office and that they are not as far ahead of us as they thought. But another heavy defeat would indicate we have learnt nothing and would also badly damage the morale of the Cork players. Could happen however.

A lot of them are grand but you'll always have that one or two. They've had plenty of chances to win the all Ireland over the years but they just couldn't seal the deal in the end. If they couldn't win an all Ireland when they had the likes of Tony Browne, Ken McGrath, Paul Flynn, Dan Shanahan and John Mullane playing for them, then it's hard to ever see them doing it in the short to medium term future at least.

The fact that it's in the Gaelic grounds will make the task hard. They have a free shot at them now. Hopefully they are competitive next day out.

I'd be more than happy to win the all Ireland without playing Limerick in Croke Park.

Whatever team wins the AI this year will have to beat Limerick in Croke Park. Clare won it last year without having to do that but that was only because we got them out of the way for them.

Clare benefitted from an awful lot of 50/50 refereeing decisions on the day as well!

Not quite. Couldn't a team beat Limerick in the semi but lose the final?

I just want us be competitive with limerick in 2 weeks. I don't expect us win it. I just hope we give them good game to give us bit of hope.

I say the next game be alot closer but just cant see enough to suggest Cork are going to win it. The way people are talking today, Limerick are going to destroy us. Will we bother fulfilling the fixture and hand the cup to Limerick?

Well we learnt something today that I wasn't expecting. The defeat to Limerick was hugely damaging to the teams confidence!! The tension was running deep even in the stands. It was like a different team to the one that trashed Tipperary.

We lacked guile again today was distinctly flat at times. Lots of work needed before this team heads to Limerick. Right now they are a country mile off Limerick!
