I do think the fact that the surface is new is playing a part, but this should have been planned for from the start. Realistically what could they be doing now to improve the surface? Even if they did everything they could to sort out the surface, could it be in good condition in time for (hopefully) a home league QF or (hopefully not) a home relegation playoff?

Playing double headers on it in February probably not the wisest.

assuming it's yourselfs vs Us (Waterford) in the NHL Relagation playoff now on to be played on 17th/18th March will they do another double header but in PUR with the NFL game vs Clare on Paddys night ??

Hopefully it won't come to that ;)

But I doubt it. The Clare vs Cork football game is televised on Eir, who only have Saturday night games. Only hope of a double header is if Eir have television rights to the potential Cork vs Waterford game, and the GAA allow it to go ahead on a Saturday night.

Personally I hope this isn't the case as I need to attend as many hurling matches as I can with my season ticket, but am planning on supporting Nemo in Croke Park on Paddy's day...

Anyone know why Cork are at home for the relegation playoff after we played them in Pairc Uí Chaoimh two weeks ago? Delighted I don't need to make the trip to Waterford but just curious at the same time

I think it's because Cork only had two home fixtures in the league versus three for Waterford.

Ah right, happy days! I don't think the Waterford crowd will be too put out after they beat us fairly handy in Cork last time

    15 v 15 and I'd be confident of a win.

Second best by a big distance today.

Not panicking yet but am a bit worried after 4 defeats on the bounce.

Next Sunday is now a must win game.

Cork deserve to go down to division 2. They have been appalling all season.

What kind of f*cking nonsense is this? Absolutely disgraceful from the camogie management if true. If the three ladies' scholarships were at risk if they missed the match then of course they should have been allowed choose to play for UCC. Hopefully UCC take no action but you could understand it if they did - they're getting the stipend to play for the college team, if they choose not to play then they're turning their backs on the agreement. Obviously this is messy because of the amateur ethos of the GAA but the scholarship situation is unique.

Management shouldn't be trying to bully the players into playing for Cork when they know it could have serious ramifications in their personal life, disgusting.

Disgraceful on both sides - neither side telling the truth I reckon. Heard that there was awful abusive texts and messages sent to members of the camogie management, who did try and get the fixture changed so that their intermediates would play the day before, so at least some of them could be called up if needed. UCC did nothing to sort it despite being flagged up months previous - apparently the camogie did flag it with the players and said what the expectation was.

If UCC had won with the three girls, the camogie would have had 15 players with a sub keeper for a league semi final - knowing the UCC manager there is no way if they won, he would have released the girls for an intercounty game. So I don't think it is a case of Murray blocking the players for the Saturday, because we all know how it works for Cork, players could end up playing two games in a day ala Briege Corkery and more recently Libby Coppinger - the players would do what they wanted to do.

Last week it was 16 to 24 on subs bench.
    Now its 16 to 23.

Always thought 26 was the number but perhaps that's only for championship?
Cork GAA has a way of always being different. I wonder why?

    Usually is 26.

Maybe the rest will be added on match day? I don't get why you'd voluntarily give yourself 3 less options even if you are unlikely to lose them..
