We all know it's highly likely here that Usyk needs to knock him out.

It's the only drawback this fight has really, buts let's hope we get an excellent fight with not much controversy. A fight like this in boxing deserves it.

    Two U.S. judges and a U.S. ref..

Maybe, just maybe, Gassiev should be worried?

I keep hearing this but it seems totally unfounded.

I agree. Don’t get this incessant corruption cries on here for so many fights...

And then if the fight anyway close there are cries of foul...

Ya, that's better than I thought, but tbf, it's a likely highly partisan crowd, and a Russian fighter in Russia, and we've already had one giant robbery on the night for a Russian fighter

    Russian fighter in Russia...

Expect possible “small” bit of favoritism.

Same for any hometown fighter...it’s part of human nature...

Gassiev has Abel Sanchez in his corner, Usyk has his cut man. If Usyk wins this without a trainer it is some achievement

1st round Usyk for me anyway

Hope it’s not this for 12 rds...

    Usyk range keeping it so..

    2-0 Usyk.

An achievement. But wouldn’t overstate it..

Not like the trainer is in the ring. Usyk is a career veteran boxer...

Whatever the outcome Usyk is a really lovely boxer!

Usyk's movement for a big guy is ridiculous.

It'll be very hard for usyk to keep this level of movement up for the full 12 rds.

    2-1 Usyk

    7 rounds may be enough.

That would be true if I had said the next 12rds.

    I didn't though...

No I meant 7 out of 12 may do.

    Ah get ya now apologies.

I kinda meant it more like usyk keeping outta harms way for the whole match and avoiding getting buzzed badly or worse...

    Gassiev very lethargic looking...plodding.

It does seem excessive but it was something similar when he fought Briedis.

He slowed a fair bit though in the latter rounds of that bout didn't he?

    5-0 to Usyk for me.

    Good fight though.

5-0 Usyk. Gassiev head and body hunting rather than using his jab. Easier said than done but he seems to be going straight for power punches. Fifth round closer than the first four though.

4-1 Usyk but gassiev looks dangerous IMO

Usyk should slow down and injection some venom into these shots..
