Kinda is to be fair, like Kane's goal last week - was it a shot or a cross?

had the keeper "saved" it and another player scored - what then - only the player knows what he intended.

    Ifs and Buts

If a player gets fouled, they get an assist if the resulting free-kick goes in. A 2cm pass to a striker at the half-way line, will get an assist if the striker scores. When you compare these to Tadic's cross/shot/whatever, I think he deserves the assist. Maybe this is not in the rules but it should be when you compare it to some farcical, innocuous assists that are given.

Just waiting on the goal to be awarded to McCauley.

I don't even have Tadic but every single year it gets worse with the inconsistencies and ambiguity around assists.

Definitely the worst/most frustrating part of the game.

Happy enough to play RLC every other week based on what I've seen so far.

Again... his effort wasn't a shot.. it was an attempted cross - therefore, the cross did not go where he intended.

No assist - not hard to understand

    Funny that :D

Tadic assist robbed!!!!(Tadic owner draft team)

Not an assist imo ( regular head to head opponent has him)

May not even start going forward depending on what way Hodgson sets up. Very much up in the air at the moment.

    RLC definitely looking dangerous

True but he's been their best player so far today so that won't do him any harm.

Had a look to see what their next fixtures are like . . . City (a), United (a), Chelsea (h)! With the way this game is going Hodgson could be looking at a played 4 lost 4 like De Boer!

I wonder if they'll sack him too. That would be hilarious :-)

Ya won't be playing him in the away games, he'll rotate with Carroll/cheap defender.

I think Tadic should have got the assist. At the end of the day, it's his cross/shot which forced the keeper to parry into Davis' path.

    Even the BBC description:

Southampton have the ball down and play a bit and Steven Davis rolls Dusan Tadic into the area with a pass. His cross-shot is parried and falls back to the on-rushing Davis 12 yards out. Side foot finish. Joel Ward on the line dangles a foot out but gets nothing.

It was definitely a cross from Tadic. Not a shot

Is Tadic playing as well as this?

Johnny Magrinho: Tadic is playing a blinder today. At the heart of every attacking move. Massively underrated player.

Just back from U8 football so only caught tail end of first half.

Got rid of RLC but he is playing well in a very advanced role for palace

Not watching it but he certainly has the talent to do it. Doing it for a couple of games in a row is the question.

If I knew Long was going to start every week, I would be tempted by Tadic. Long brings others into the game more.

No, he's being a bit wasteful imo, he's got ball in good areas but put in some wishy washy passes/crosses.

The Soton goal is blessed so far this half.

Is Johnny Magrinho an anagram for Stevie Wonder?

He's been okay but certainly nowhere near as good as that so far.
