With the really high odds the % value my system calculates could be in excess of 40%. ie true price is less than 101. Most odds on favs in horse racing have negative value on the place in the region of -1% to -5%. So if you did a double with a horse which has a calculated value of say +40% along with a horse that has negative value of -5% then the overall bet has a total value of 1.40 x 0.95 = 1.33. ie 33% value. This gets your money on the real value horse but has you taking a hit on the negative value hot fav but allows you get the ££ down without it looking blindingly obvious what horse you have your eye on.

Take 2 legs in a double which have negative value of -10% each. Doing these type of bad value bets in doubles gives you a longterm loss of approx -19.0% ( Negative value esp in multiples is the bread and butter of 95% of punters )
However, finding bets with +10% positive value and doing these in doubles gives you longterm value of approx 21%. Betting is all about finding value and then finding a way to maximise that value.
