It's just a game and I don't see any more reason for raised eyebrows than GTA. Anyway, since they are based in Cork, we should all root for Irish gaming industry, right?

Quietly optimistic about that Pac man metroidvania Shadow Labyrinth. Gameplay looks neat and it's internally developed by Namco who have some great developers in house.

Also since every Namco game takes place in the same universe it's also secretly an ace combat spin off.

Red Dead 2 ultimate edition for €20 and Mafia Trilogy for €7 on the Xbox sales.

Will do me for a while after my game pass expires soon.

I see Replay is doing great numbers on Steam despite reviews putting it at about a 7 out of 10. Anyone playing it?

And by Replay, I of course meant Rematch…

    😋

Hmmm any sign of that RDR2 news both voice actors were spouting on about this week.

I saw a clip of the guy who plays John Marston walking it back and saying that he doesn't have an announcement to make on behalf of Rockstar, because Rockstar make their own announcements.

So either Rockstar told him to shut the f*ck up because they weren't ready to reveal whatever they were doing, or it's an announcement just about something the actors themselves are doing separate from the game and they were piggybacking off the game to build their own hype. Likely the latter.

    Edit: Found the clip

I'd say he's pissed that he couldn't swim in RDR2.

Yep it’s fun! Controls take a bit of getting used to but when it clicks is great.

3v3 is the most accessible but don’t expect much passing and do expect your goalie to leave the nets completely unguarded! 5v5 is better but no point going near it until you have the basics down. Ranked is nigh on impossible with randoms!

Only question in longevity, it’s fun but basic, be interesting to see how they hold player count.

I completely forgot that in Death Stranding, there is a character called Die Hardman..... who's real name is John McClane. I love Kojima 😂

    ”Sam, it’s Die Hardman”

Repeat 250 times over the course of the game.

Rolled the credits in Bully but I'm not finished as I still have loads left to do. Barely went to school either. I think I done five classes altogether and passed three.

The art teacher in Bully stirred something in me when I was younger.

    I've said too much.

I mostly lurk here but the forum has a weird effect on me.

My good Raybans broke and I started using some cheap sunglasses I got on holidays. They don't protect from the sun much and if anything, make everything look a little yellow. While explaining this to my girlfriend, I had to refrain from using the term "piss filter".

Finished off all the content in the Tomb Raider 1,2 and 3 remaster. If you are planning to play these don't overlook the PC expansion levels and they are absolute peak tomb raider and in the case of TR2 and 3, better than the base games.

Started Cyberpunk 2077. I went in blind never watched anything not even trailers so it's all new to me. It's weird I find but I suppose that's the way it is when you first start a game. I just arrived in my apartment just now and I called it quits. I may play a bit later or most likely tomorrow evening.

It was weird driving the car at the beginning as you have to control the camera while driving. Very strange.

The tutorial and remembering each move and button press is a lot to get a grip of but it will come second nature the more you play obviously.

Not sure if it helps or if you'd prefer to keep the immersion of the first person view, but you can change it so it goes into third person view for when you're driving. I found it a lot easier to deal with, especially since a lot of vehicles dont have huge windscreens.

There's definitely a huge amount to get used to. The first few hours of the game, as much as they are about the story, are also just really long tutorials to teach you about a lot of the mechanics and controls. You do get more used to it though.

It's an amazing game, stick with it if you can. Twice before I made it to a certain point about 5 hours in and gave up, but I decided to give it one final try earlier this year. Once it clicks with you, it's an amazing experience and can be a huge amount of fun to play.

The Death Stranding 2 graphics look really impressive on the Digital Foundry review in HDR on OLED. Guerilla Games have one hell of a game engine (Decima). It's not just an in-house engine as Kojima productions have managed to use it very successfully now across games and platforms. And no ray tracing to bog it down, just some very smart developers and artists using it very well. I would not be surprised to see the engine and DS1 appear on Switch 2. Funny, even though Sony owns it, it does not support PSSR.

In fairness the engineers in Kojima Productions seem to be incredible in their own right and made Death Stranding sing on PC, especially compared to how bad the initial releases of the Horizon games were (and in fairness did get improved).

I’ve been playing more of the original on PS5 and even that’s a showstopper still. I find it quite a bit more impressive than something like Hellblade II - which is ‘objectively’ more advanced in many respects - because the world is dynamic, exploitable and a key part of the gameplay, rather than a pretty corridor you walk down.

Looks like the Front Mission 3 remake uses some absolute trash AI upscaling for its UI elements including the whole internet section. Details are either wrong or completely messed up.

I wonder how many members here did Retr0 get them to play AC7.

    Not enough. Never enough.

    "Just one more AC fan!".

Speaking of AC, ya'll should be playing Armored Core 6 as well.
