War is bad I guess :D

Ok, I'll add it to the list to try!

Oh ac!d is on a whole other level of nonsense.

Just be warned. It will eat your free time.

I think it's also on iOS and makes a great mobile game but no android port which is annoying for me.

So, play the Last of us part 1 or watch the tv series first. Reason I ask is that the tv series 4k uhd boxset is currently 1/3 the price of the game on Amazon and I'm definitely waiting for the game until it's a lot cheaper.

Would it ruin the game to watch the tv series first ?

They both tell pretty much the same story with the same key beats and setpieces. The game does it better, frankly - less rushed than the show seems, and I'd recommend it first for that reason.

The show is more interesting when it diverges from the game and expands on elements that were under-realised there - including one standout episode. Otherwise they're very similar, but the TV adaptation rushes through stuff the game has more time and space to play around with.

I'll wait for the game price to drop so. Sony usually has a days of play thing during the summer, or otherwise black friday. Might grab the box set anyway and watch a couple of episodes now.

Will it be a gimmick fight or will hitting that things ankle 100 times with a sword somehow kill it?

Like the Sekiro flame boss, probably have to chip away at an ankle to stagger him and then in for a critical hit.

I can't imagine you'll be hitting it in the face too often. I'd say it could be more a fight you need to be on Torrent for, to get in and out between AOE attacks quickly.

Definitely play the game first, you'll appreciate the show a lot more.

I played the game after watching the show. I would recommend you play the game first. It is a mainly story driven game, knowing what is going to happen definitely spoiled my enjoyment of the game.

I plan on playing the 2nd game first before watching the 2nd season of the show.

I suspect Sony will wait for the show to air before releasing it on PC so I'll be telling people in work to ssssh when the inevitable hype around it has people talking about it.

The tv series of part can only improve the story of that game. Really don't get the hype for that one.

Would also recommend playing the game first. It's just the more "complete" version of the story, whereas the show kinda takes a few shortcuts. But the TV show also adds in a few things which wouldn't have been possible in the game so even though you know the bulk of the story, the show still feels like a fresh enough experience to enjoy.

Dead Island 2 was a surprise addition to Game Pass a few days ago. Gonna get cracking at it soon.

Playing the Uncharted Collection recently. I'd already played 4, so going backwards here.

Perfect short games for switching off your brain and having fun. No messing with maps or upgrades or open worlds. No analysis paralysis. The first one was pretty basic, but they really upped the ante with the second one. The dialogue is quite sharp and funny too. 1080p/60 FPS is lovely too.

I think ruining it one way or the other is prob unavoidable but also very much up to your own take on spoilers. But regardless of which way around, both can be enjoyed.

For me I often end up preferring a second play through of a game, precisely because I know what's coming, I'm not worried about what comes next and can enjoy so much more of the game.

I think I enjoyed the second play through of TLOU1 more than the first, and the third time more than the previous two. 😀

On my second playthrough of TLOU2 as we speak and finding it infinitely more enjoyable.

The TV show is great, and I think you could prob watch over half of it without losing much of the game's impact. But for the sheer pleasure of playing a great game and then seeing it adapted to TV/Movie and it not be horrible, I'd recommend the game first and then TV show.

Yep, will play the game first once I get it discounted. I'm in no rush.

Currently playing Planet of Lana. Graphics are good for a side scroller. Puzzles aren't too difficult. Good game.

I tried to replay them before giving 4 a go, and I just find it hard to stomach the fact that the good guy has killed around 4000 people across the 4 games and isn't arrested. didn't bother me the first time around. Maturity sucks!

I was a on a bit of a roll/high after completing two short games this weekend. Somerville and Planet of Lana and decided to start another called Cocoon well f**k me I'm not sure I like it. I wasn't playing long and got stuck. I will have to sleep on it if I will continue it could be a great game. It's a 3d world but you cannot move the camera which I hate as you are like what's over there but you cannot see and walk over there in this game and get locked out of going back so I have no idea if I missed parts of the game.

I'm on my 2nd attempt at Cyberpunk with the.phantom liberty dlc. It's a huge improvement, the game used to feel really empty and now it's bustling with NPCs, loads of really interesting characters. Lots of gangs around to attack and cops are regularly on my ass in what are very satisfying shootouts.

At one point I was being chased by the cops. Hopped out of my car and got in a shootout but backup just.kepturning up and I became overwhelmed and had to run. I accidentally ran into a gang and got into a shootout with them, but the cops were still chasing me. They were quickly on the scene and the gang turned their attention away from me and onto them. I hid in an empty swimming pool behind some bin bags while they thrashed it out. Gun fights, knife fights, chases all going on around me. It was pure class! This is on the base game, I've not even hit Phantom Liberty yet.

Another problem I found before was that I got to a point where I was under levelled. This time around I'm having so much fun doing side missions that I'm earning lots of Euro Dollars and levelling up my character.

Fair play to CDPR for sticking with it and finally delivering.

This is a really good question, so many obvious choices like hunter is Resi 1, Nemesis in resi 3, Tonberry in FF VII, etc. gonna have to think about this for a bit

I forget the name of the game but I played it on the Xbox 360. Some little girl comes walking straight at you a number of times throughout the game. One part you are in a narrow hallway in an abandoned hospital and you jump up onto a stretcher at the right moment and see walks straight passed you.

I don't play too much horror but Mr X from RE2 is the first one that comes to mind

I'd have to go with the Lickers from RE2. Mr.X was scary, but more a case of avoid. Lickers you either had to fight or very quietly try to sneak around them. The Clickers in TLOU are similar, but it's more of a stealth game where you have better tools/actions to stealth around them. RE2, you just had to try walk very slowly right in front of them. Their design, both audio and visual, was horribly terrifying. I always hated even the thought of them more than any other enemy and their intro cutscene was just chilling, particularly when younger.

Admittedly, not a great clip here considering the player just takes it out with two shotgun blasts to the head, but still...

LeBron in 2K14, scarier than anything from any horror game.

The clickers (well one or two of them are nice). I baked a cake for one. I said doesn't it look lovely? The clicker said he couldn't see it.
