Boards is checking browsers before logging me in - Are we under attack?!?!?

Yep, just had a dummy type log in by 'Ray' ....

Then I got logged off and had to log in again

Not sure I like the idea of 'Ray' having my password though!

1st time its ever happened to me when logging on..

This is getting very annoying, it seems that if boards.ie is open but inactive for more than a few minutes it'll check for fleas.

Yup. Gonna be a pain in the nuts for anyone who is typing a long reply if they have to get a recheck on submitting the post.

It's Cloudflare, used by many, many websites these days to protect against DDoS attacks, large traffic spikes and the like.

I would suggest that if you see it but are still able to get in and use the site as normal... then Cloudflare has done its job :)

I thought at first it was someone hacking me, they would've just been bombarded with porn

If anyone hacked me they'd die of disappointment.

I have to agree, it is.

It's also done something to using the "back" key to get back out of a thread - now needs multiple presses to get you back to the home page list.

I've had it since last night, can't post at all using Chrome, get an invalid thread ID error message after the Cloud Flare check every time I try so have to use a different browser.

over at the help desk they are saying this :

''Unfortunately current events have dictated that we put in place some extra security measures for the time being. ''

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,277 ✭✭✭Your Face

This site has a history of security issues.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,298 ✭✭✭✭branie2

    I'm getting it as well

I can't access the site at all on my phone or tablet. The app is also borked

Mod: Okay guys, we know what it is at least. Most of the last page is issues people are having with it, and those would be a lot more suited to Help Desk as no-one's going to see them here. Some might be unavoidable, but no harm in reporting them in case anything can be done.

    Closing this thread now.
