Two fantastic goals as well. Verona hasn't been an easy place to go to the last few seasons but think they'll struggle this season.

Empoli beat Juventus in Turin. That's a major shock.

Not a good start to the post-Ronaldo era. They look like they need a focal point up top. Moise Kean seemingly is on the way.

Surprised Atalanta were held goalless. They had enough chances to win it.

Vlahovic off the mark for the viola. Wonder will he still be there come Wednesday.

Roma scored some lovely goals. Great strike from Abraham.

Giroud bagged a brace as well for Milan. I can see him being a fan favourite.

Thought Napoli got lucky with the ref chalking off Genoa's goal. I didn't see a foul on Meret.

How much did Lukaku go back to the EPL for ?

Maybe Milan could ship Giroud off to Arsenal for a handsome profit next year

Roma's second was lovely one touch passing on the edge of the box. They could be on to something with Jose. I'd love to see them challenge for the title.

The decision to ruled out the Genoa goal looked harsh, but the striker knew what he was doing. He had a glance for the keeper and jumped in to him.

Some exciting matches this weekend. Looking forward to Napoli/Juve and Atalanta/Fiorentina tomorrow. Milan vs Lazio on Sunday should be good too.

Yes great weekend. Can't wait. Delighted Fiorentina held on to vlahovic and hoping they can improve this year. Atalanta always a joy to watch. Best foreign game I ever seen in the flesh was a 3-3 draw between these two. I have a sneaky feeling Napoli will beat the hunchbacks later as well.

Big result for Napoli beating Juve 2-1. Kean seemed to forget what end he was in for a moment! Juve without a win in their opening 3 games.

And Fiorentina win by the same score against Atalanta. This has been a fun start to the season.

A routine win for Napoli against a relegation fodder side tonight 😂

So glad I gave this Roma/Sassuolo game a watch. Brilliant viewing. Rui Patricio keeping Roma in it, denying Boga and others, only for El Shaarawy to pop up with a 91st minute stunner. Mourinho sprinting down the touchline to join in the celebrations as well. Amazing scenes.

Seemed like Scamacca had salvaged a point with a great strike of his own but it was offside. Sassuolo played very well but Roma dug deep and go top of the table.

It was a fantastic match and the olimpico was absolutely rocking. It's never nice seeing Mourinho happy , it would have been amazing had the Sassuolo equaliser been allowed. Overall a good weekend of action and Bologna vs Verona now tonight to end it.

It was mentioned on Goalazzo that Serie A are planning on banning green jerseys next year because they are "invisible" on 5K TVs. Absolutely bonkers and even worse than FIFAs one colour jersey rule for the TVs

Yes that was decided a good while ago, maybe two months ago? I don't think it's a blanket ban on the colour green , think it's jerseys that are full on green like the way Ireland's is.

Big day in Serie A today with both Roman clubs dropping points.

A win tonight for Milan against relegation contenders put them 2 clear on top

Was checking out the highlights. What a goal to win it for Verona.

Some nice goals in Spezia's win at Venezia as well that are worth a look.

Juve still searching for their first win of the season.

Napoli looked impressive tonight based on the highlights. A 4-0 win at Udinese that sends them top. Only side with a 100 per cent record in Serie A.

More Serie A action tomorrow with two good evening games in Atalanta/Sassuolo and Fiorentina/Inter.

Good 3-1 win for Inter at Fiorentina, having been a goal down. Stupid from Gonzalez getting sent off for sarcastic applause to the ref.

Another impressive showing from Napoli as they go back top of the table, smashing Sampdoria 4-0. Osimhen was a handful and grabbed a brace and probably should have had a hat-trick given the chances presented to him. Lozano and Anguissa caught the eye as well.

Roma vs Udinese coming up at 7:45.

Roma win 1-0 thanks to Abraham's goal after good work from young LB Calafiori. Saw highlights of Torino's 1-1 draw with Lazio and Torino are looking very good this season. Ivan Juric doing a nice job there.

Fiorentina played them off the park the first half which was encouraging for them. Inter got their s**t together for the second half and were excellent. Looking forward to the game against Atalanta after. Should be a good test for each side to see where they're at. Atalanta haven't been great so far.

Disaster we don't get the 2pm game anymore on a Saturday or a highlights show off BT. All the other stuff they have done is far superior to Premier, for the life of me I don't know why they can't do an hour of highlights from the matches. They have 168 hours a week to fill on each of their four channels.

I like BT Sport but what annoys me most is when you miss the first few minutes of the Saturday 5pm game, usually due to rugby match analysis. Missed a great goal on the volley by Lautaro against Atalanta just now.

Atalanta turn it around to lead 2-1. Disappointing from Handanovic.

Dzeko makes it 2-2. Going to be an exciting final 20 minutes.

Dimarco misses a penalty, hitting the crossbar. That could be a big moment in the season.

3-2 to Atlanta 3mins to go. Awful soft hands from a close range shot

Edit: VAR has overturned ball had gone out for a corner

Oh my goodness. Handanovic at fault again and the sub Piccoli seemingly scores but chalked off by VAR. Ball had gone out of play. Some game.
