With the passing of the deadline, here are the trends for his second gameweek...
    Popular trends - G.W. 2

Most popular Main Event Tier picks

    1. Finn Balor 9

    2. Braun Strowman 8

    3. Shinsuke Nakamura 6

    Most popular Upper Tier picks

    1. Jason Jordan 13

    2. Big Cass 9

    3. Dean Ambrose 8

    Most popular Lower Tier picks

    1. Akira Tozawa 13

    2. Enzo 2

    3. James Ellsoworth / Tye Dillinger 1

Akira Tozawa sees a surge in support and is the equal most popular pick alongside Jason Jordan; Tozawa is also the most popular captaincy pick. Finn Balor meanwhile has risen up the ranks to be the most popular Main Event Tier pick.

With regards the Summerslam bonus, 16 of the 17 players have made their choices and it's a pretty even split. Reigns has not attracted ANY support; Brock and Braun are the most popular predictions with 6 players backing The Beast and 6 backing The Monster Among Men; 4 players though have gone for Samoa Joe to win the title.

Good luck everybody for the week ahead.

The first PPV of our contest, Summerslam, has concluded and it was quite an eventful show. There were five bonus points on offer if you correctly predicted the outcome of the main event, and six players were able to do so.

Below you will find the scores for Summerslam, as well as what they mean for our league table. Read on for all the latest...

*Warning - Summerslam spoilers lie below. Do not read further if you do not want the results from the show.*

    Summerslam Fallout

It is Gaw_ who has the best evening with a great score of 29 points. Wins for his captain Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Jinder Mahal, The Miz, and correctly predicting Brock to retain the title brought home most of his points. The second highest score went to Mr. Guappa, who got a fine score of 25 points even despite not predicting the main event outcome. This was due largely to wins from AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Sasha Banks, Big Cass and Dean Ambrose.

The six players who correctly predicted the main event finish were daithi1989, Cheese Wagstaff, myself, Bounty Hunter, Gaw_ and paulie21.

The average score for Summerslam was 20 points.

Now let's see what those scores have meant for our league standings...

    League Fallout

In these early stages it's paulie21 who continues to set the pace, with daithi1989 in hot pursuit, although strong Summerslam scores see Gaw_ and Mr. Guappa nott too far behind.

It's still early in the week and with two more shows to come, the picture could change considerably. Remember that I'll be using the standings at the end of this week to determine the seeding in the Cup that starts next week.

    Summerslam results

The Miz, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel defeated The Hardy Boyz and Jason Jordan.

Neville defeated Akira Tozawa to win the Cruiserweight Title.

The Usos defeated Xavier Woods and Big E to win the Smackdown Tag Titles.

    John Cena defeated Baron Corbin.

Natalya defeated Naomi to win the Smackdown Women's Title.

    Big Cass defeated Big Show.

    Randy Orton defeated Rusev,

Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss to win the Raw Women's Title.

    Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to win the Raw Tag Titles.

    AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens.

    Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura.

Brock Lesnar defeated Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe to retain the Universal Title.
    255px-Natalya_April_2012.jpg

Natalya leaving with the title was one of many surprises on this show. The most popular picks in the game, Akira Tozawa and Jason Jordan, also had disappointing nights. Will they have better luck on Raw?

The game may be under way but new players are always welcome. Places for the Cup are now closed but the league is still open and there will be further tournaments in future, such as the tag team tournament, so sign up now to get involved.

That ends the Summerslam update. Over now to Raw to see where that leaves us...

    Raw Fallout

It's Cheese Wagstaff that has the best night and by some margin. Wins for Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Elias and Dean Ambrose brought in most of his points. The second highest score went to beakerjoe, with a strong score courtesy of wins for Roman Reigns, Balor and Ambrose.

The average score for Raw was 10 points.

Now let us see what the above scores mean for our current standings...

    Gameweek 2 Standings (Post-Raw)

    14. Lithium_93.........................................................................25 points

    League Fallout

There's little change at the top as paulie21 continues to have the lead, but Mr. Guappa has narrowed the gap slightly and takes joint possession of 2nd place.

Cheese Wagstaff and beakerjoe have moved up the ladder following their impressive Raw scores.

    Raw results

Enzo Amore defeated Big Cass via ref stoppage.

    Nia Jax defeated Emma.

    Elias defeated R-Truth.

Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Mustafa Ali and Gran Metalik defeated Noam Dar, Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese and Drew Gulak.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated The Hardy Boyz.

    Finn Balor defeated Jason Jordan.

John Cena and Roman Reigns defeated The Miz and Samoa Joe.
    255px-Enzo_Cass_Carmella.jpg

There's plenty to ponder following this week's Raw. It appears Big Cass may be facing a lengthy lay-off following an injury in his match. The Cruiserweights got to showcase their talents meaning they may be a more attractive option in future. Also, John Cena showed up to remind us there is plenty of value to be had in having him - only one player has him at present.

A lot to think about for the weeks ahead...

I will post the Smackdown update later this evening but first I want to update our roster by adding some new additions, and also DELETE those wrestlers who look to be out for the forseeable future.

*Note - This roster update below contains spoilers from the recent Smackdown show*

    Bobby Roode

Smackdown just became glorious and so it's time to add Bobby Roode to the game. He will now be available for you to transfer in from the Main Event Tier. Will you be adding him to your line-up?

    255px-Shelton_Benjamin_in_Kitchener%2C_Ontario%2C_Canada.jpg

    Shelton Benjamin

Another new face added to the Smackdown roster is former IC champion Shelton Benjamin. He will be available to select from the Upper Tier.

And now to those who will be removed due to injuries...

    OUT

    330px-Colin_Cassady_April_2014.jpg

    Big Cass

Things are not looking good for Cass following his injury on Raw with speculation of a long lay-off.

He is currently one of the most popular picks in the game, featuring in 9 squads, and it would be advisable to transfer him out ASAP.

    255px-Bayley_WrestleMania_Axxess_2015_%28cropped2%29.jpg

    Bayley

It doesn't look like Bayley will return in the near future so I'll be removing her from the list.

    330px-Scott_Dawson_NXT_Takeover_Dallas_2016.jpg

    Scott Dawson

An unfortunately timed injury for The Revival which will see Dawson removed from the list.
    330px-Darren_Young_WrestleMania_32_Axxess.jpg

    Darren Young

I figured he was off television because they had nothing for him but apparently he's injured, so he's off the list.

Smackdown has finished for the week which brings us to the end of gameweek two.

I noted previously that the league table at the end of this week would determine the seeding for the Fantasy Cup which starts next week, and so you can discover where you stand by reading on...

*Note - Smackdown spoilers below. Do not read further if you do not want news of Raw.*

    Smackdown Fallout

It's LeeJM who gets the best result from Smackdown; wins from Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura got him his score. The second highest score goes to Bounty Hunter, thanks to wins from Nakamura and Naomi.

Besides these two players, the rest of us didn't have much to celebrate.

The average score for Smackdown was 3 points.

Now let us see what that means for our league table at the end of the week...

    Gameweek 2 Standings

    1. paulie21..............................................................................71 points

    2. daithi1989...........................................................................67 points

    14. Ruat Caelum......................................................................37 points

    15. Lithium_93.........................................................................26 points

    League Fallout

Congratulations to paulie21 who retains his lead at the end of the week. It remains very tight at the top though with several players breathing down his neck.

As noted, the league standings would determine seeding for the Cup which starts this upcoming week and the seeding works out like so:
Top seeds: paulie21, daithi1989, Mr. Guappa, Gaw_.

Second seeds: beakerjoe, Bounty Hunter, Kankan14, lycan238.

Third seeds: Cheese Wagstaff, Necrominus, KayJay86, montyrebel.

Fourth seeds: Lord TSC, LeeJM, Ruat Caelum, Lithium_93.

lycan238 and Cheese Wagstaff had the same points and could not be separated on captaincy scores. However lycan238 had a slightly better overall positional average and so got the nod for that seeding.

I will be involved in the Cup purely as organiser, though I will put myself on a reserve list.

The draw for the cup will be up tomorrow!

    Smackdown results

    Bobby Roode defeated Aiden English.

The Usos defeated The Hype Bros.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated The Singh Brothers.

Becky Lynch and Naomi defeated Natalya and Carmella.

    AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens.

Note - A question came up last year about guys working as special refs and whether that counted as an appearance point for being in a match. I had meant to comment on this for this year but I forgot.

The rule of thumb is that wrestlers must be competing in a match to be eligible for points; so being the referee doesn't count as an appearance point.

As you have hopefully spotted above, I have updated the roster so Bobby Roode is now available as a transfer if you want him.

On to Gameweek #3 (The Cup begins!)

Gameweek #3 sees the return of one of the most popular parts of the game, the Fantasy Cup, which sees players taking on one another in match-ups.

The cup game will run alongside the regular league game we've been playing up to now. That means the squad you select for this upcoming week will cover both the league and your Cup game simultaneously.

I will be pitting you sixteen players into four groups. Every second week you will take on your group rivals in a Cup game. A win will give you 3 points, a draw will give you 1 point, and you will get nothing for a loss. After you have played each rival once, the group stage will be complete. The group winners and group runners up will advance to the quarter-finals.

    Deadline

The deadline for Gameweek 3 will be before the start of Monday Night Raw.

    Transfers and Captaincy

You can now make up to 2 transfers to your squad if you wish. These must be from the same tier. For example, a Main Event Tier performer for a Main Event Tier performer; an Upper Tier performer for an Upper Tier performer.

Please outline who you are transferring out and transferring in when posting your squads to make it easier for me to follow.

Once a team has been posted that team will be final and no edits will be allowed (unless there are exceptional circumstance, i.e. a wrestler gets legit hurt, or they are suspended).

Don't forget to choose a captain who will score you double points.

    Want to join in?

The game may be under way but new players are always welcome. Places for the Cup are now closed but the league is still open and there will be further tournaments in future, such as the tag team tournament, so sign up now to get involved.

Good luck for the week ahead, everyone. Gameweek #3 is now open for business.

(Don't forget to check the thread tomorrow to see what group you have landed for the Cup!)

    Maybe I'm wrong and it's only a 4pt difference but I think I got 11pts for Raw not 7

Finn vs Jordan = 2pts for each guys appearance and another 3 for Finns win (5pts)
Dean & Seth vs Matt & Jeff = 1pt for Deans appearance and another 4 for his win (5pts)
and 1 pt for Big Cass's appearance

Main Event Tier 1: Finn Balor
Main Event Tier 2: Shinsuke Nakamura
Main Event Tier 3: Naomi Seth Rollins

Top Tier 1: Big Cass Chad Gable
    Top Tier 2: Dean Ambrose
    Top Tier 3: Jason Jordan

    Lower Tier: Akira Tozawa

    Captain: Akira Tozawa Chad Gable

Yes, you're correct. I know the problem: in my notes I have you listed as having Braun Strowman instead of Finn, but you transferred Braun out last week. I failed to record that. Apologies for that. I'll correct the scores shortly.

I actually count a score of 15 for BH. Another 4 for Rollins winning?

I think Seth is one of his transfers in for the coming week.

I don't think he has Rollins. This was his most recent team:

I left Strowman in my notes instead of transferring him out for Finn which caused the confusion.

According to my calculations Bounty Hunter merits an extra 3 points for Summerslam due to Finn winning on the show. (I only awarded 1 point because I had him listed as having Braun who lost his match).

Likewise on Raw he merits an extra 4 points because Finn won on that show (I gave a zero there because I had Braun there who wasn't in a match).

So I believe he is owed an extra 7 points which I have now added to his score.

I hope everything is accurate now. Apologies again to BH for the cock-up. I usually pride myself on checking these things very well.

I've reviewed Bounty Hunter's scores in the game:

Raw and SD on Gameweek 1 = 18 points
    Summerslam PPV = 24 points
Raw and SD on Gameweek 2 = 19 points

That gives a combined score of 61 points which I've since added to the league table.

The problem was a result of me failing to take out Strowman for Finn last week.
    Strowman's performance this week:

    Summerslam - 1 point.
    Raw/SD - 0 points

    Balor's performance this week:

    Summerslam - 4 points
    Raw/SD - 4 points

    Overall performance for the week:

    Strowman - 1 point
    Balor - 8 points

Bounty Hunter thought he deserved an extra 4 points for Raw (which he did) but he also deserved another 3 points for Summerslam.

So he was denied 7 points overall.

I hope that clears things up. I will make sure in future I double and triple check the changes that are made to line-ups to avoid this happening again.
