Same applies to you Tatranska, can you pm me and I'll pass on the funds.

    Hi Berty,

Sign me up, I can't PM people due to a lack of posts but PM me and I'll pass the money on no probs.

Sent you a pm. That makes 6 people so I'll take everyone on their word and start sending out request for payments. Not paying till the money is all in, you know yourself.

Are you guys paying for the annual sub or setting up a paypal payment per month?

Happy to lead a new group if it's for an annual sub!

I'm happy either way but my concern with an annual sub is if Spotify realise it's a breach of T&C's early on, we're all out €20, as opposed to €2.50 a month.

We'll see how it goes so. I'll refund those on my list if it doesn't work for any reason.

Always a risk when you're cheating the system!

My concern with monthly is the assurance that people will pay consistently. Can you kick people off if not?

It seems that the €119.98 per year on Premium is not Family and just one Account. Family is still €14.99 per month and up to 6 accounts so by the list I've created then there is just 8 months service on that and then it's stopped.

How would they know though? Even if there's a geographical spread, that's normal for a family

Yeah, just saw that there.. it's just a way for a regular user to pay for a year in advance, as opposed to monthly.

can you use a previous premium account for this?

I`m interested. Currently on a promotion with them under a different account but would like to use my "regular" account details for the family thing.

Still, €20 for 8 months is a steal. I'll pay you now Berty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,152 ✭✭✭✭Berty

Right Group is up and running. 8 months for €14.99 each is a steal. I'll just have to reminder to cancel down my subscription in 7-8 months of the other 5 gits will get a free ride. LOL

Done, removed the other email and resent this email address as new user.

See the email I sent to enter the correct address.

To anyone else making a list. The lead person must enter an address and share that address with members. It asked members to manually confirm the address when reconciling their account.

just for reference, the advantage is that you can download tracks (so works on planes and other places with no reception, or saves using data abroad), no ads, and it works on external music players like sonos which free is not available for.

Also, the music's sound quality is much improved. Plus, you can select the song you want to listen to, rather than having to shuffle through entire albums to get to the song you want.

You have a skip limit as well with tracks on the free. I have spotify app on my car radio and this is handy for peanuts money.

As I was the organiser of my own 6 person group i realised I don't have to pay till the 8th month. Haha

It seems we have enough for the second group. Anyone willing to take the bull by the horns and be the organiser/admin?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,220 ✭✭✭Keith186

I'd go in too (new third group?). Don't mind setting it up but won't have time until this evening.

When the admin creates a family account they will have to enter their address and need to give that to their newly adopted family as they have to also enter that when they get the email. Kind of like two tier encryption.

To send them the invite is as simple as just typing it in one of the 5 empty spaces.

I would love to join a family if there is one taking newcomers. Can transfer via paypal.

Should we get a list of names together and group them up or something? I say we have enough for at least two more groups!

    2 spaces left.

As I said in the PM Dan, would it not be better to collect the years sub from us rather than monthly? Seems like a tonne more work for you. I've no problem paying the €30 or whatever it is in one go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 769 ✭✭✭dan185

Yeah fair play for spotting. We'll do 6 months - €15. PMed those who've sent it.

I signed up on mobile app for family account. Only had to input CC details but no address. Can't find it on the mobile site either. Anyone got a link?
