Mayo News Football Podcast Final Preview.

The All Ireland Final Preview podcast brings back some familiar voices as host Rob Murphy is joined by Sean Rice,Edwin McGreal and Daniel Carey to look ahead to Sunday's Mayo and Dublin showdown. Also on this episode we hear from former Mayo performance coach Kieran Shannon on why he thinks this current Mayo squad are showing similar parallels to Munster rugby in 2006.

Been hearing that since May 2006 to be honest.

    Saturday 30th September.

Superb, I have myself covered then.

A tenner on the draw at 8/1 will more than cover the ticket as well.

Avoiding all media, facebook and forums to keep the heart in some semblance of under 180 bpm! :)
At this rate just want 3.30pm Sunday to come as quick as possible.

Can't second guess the team or how its going to go. I see 2 possible outcomes, we dont play up to our ability and Dublin do a Tyrone on us OR we bring the Rossie/Kerry replay games to Dublin and that will be another cliff hanger.
If thats the case it could be a draw or another 1-2 win/defeat.

I've wrote us off all year, BUT since the Rossie first match (when I booked Citywest) there is something about that team with a level of resilience and surety which I haven't seen in a Mayo squad. Sunday will test that beyond the limits but we have it to beat this Dublin team.
It will take majority of the ref decisions to go our way and for every bounce to go our way. Luck win games, we haven't seen any of it in the AI finals, time for that to change.

For my Dad and all those long standing Mayo fans, To win just once -> Mhaigheo Abú

God forbid there is a replay.

But if there was, wouldn't it be great to double it up with the Ladies AI final. I don't think the Ladies would mind playing on front of a near full Croke Park, probably before the mens game. Although the presentation of the trophy would have to be quick!

They're under a different organisation, would be a cluster**** trying to sort out tickets.

There's no way that will happen with a one week turnaround.

Backed the win earlier in week
    Undecided on draw
    Maybe a tenner

Was convinced with the last four days the ticket was sorted, to be collected tomorrow. Not the case all of a sudden, sick isn't even the word. :(

In 2012 the hurling final replay was played on the Sunday three weeks after the first game.
It also pushed the ladies final out a week as a result.

Since then they have played final replays (two hurling, one football) on a Saturday evening, so that it does not interfere with the Sunday schedule and gives players and fans alike an extra day to recover.

Hopefully something comes up for you. Still two days, there's time yet.

Yeah I had first thought it would be pencilled in for the Saturday but there was mention there was no Sunday fixture.

I've fairly given up on it tbh, no more phone calls I could make that'd change it. Might head up on the Sunday morning and look around the hotels but at this stage I'd probably go down to Main Street and watch it on the big screen if no ticket appears by tomorrow night.

Just hope that at least a few genuine supporters of both counties get sorted though, even if I'm not one of the lucky ones.

Pleasant article about Andy Moran :)

    Jesus I'm getting breathless......

Haven't even looked for a ticket this year and I have to say that it has made the last few weeks all the more enjoyable. I actually want to watch it at home this year for a couple of reasons. I thought I would crack and start the calls but I wasn't even tempted...yet.

Hope all those genuine fans who are still looking get sorted. Keep the faith. And if it doesn't turn up #nothingwillbeatwinningSam

Nally terrace for me worst case scenario, although the club are still swapping around internally trying to get people together.
At least I'll be there, that's the main thing!

Do ye think there will be many Mayo supporters on the hill? I have a hill and I'm wondering if I should try a swap. I'm delighted to have it, don't get me wrong

I'd imagine it'll be a 50:50 split or at maximum the Dublin supporters in the majority 60:40.Still no team! They're keeping us waiting.

Could Paddy coming in for Seamie be Rochford's big switch pre the throw on Sunday?!
