Point being that Mayo as of now be handy game for Dublin.

Id put Donegal or Monaghans or maybe Tyrone chances of running Dublin close much higher than Mayos

Truth is the all Ireland now that is the benchmark.
    Beat Dublin really.

    Cough cough

Mayo, Tyrone and Monaghan all in the qualifiers. Am I right in saying Tyrone and Monaghan can't be paired together as they have already played each other. If so their is a good chance we'll be paired with one of them next if we overcome Limerick.

    They can meet again

Don't think we can get Tyrone in the next round. Monaghan is possible

If we overcome Limerick we will play a provincial semi final loser

Sligo,Leitrim,Tipperary,Clare,Monaghan,Donegal or Down,Dublin or Longford and Carlow or Laois.

Wouldn't be one bit suprised if it was Leitrim or Sligo Mayo got if they beat Limerick.

Despite Sunday, Monaghan are still the obvious one to avoid there, and I wouldn't overly fancy an away trip to Down either (presuming they lose to Donegal)

Tipperary could be a bit dodge aswell

Any of the others should be facile wins

What worries me is that we are 10000% assuming we will beat Limerick. And of course all the numbers point to us winning. If you look at Fermanagh they were wrote off by nearly all, aside from Canavan who said they were waiting in the grass.
Anyway, we go win on Saturday.

Unless we blitz Limerick any of them are banana skins at this stage.

Fermanagh knew if they beat Armagh that they would meet Monaghan so would have been planning for that from a long way back.
That is not a luxury Limerick have with Mayo.
Clare beat Limerick, who then got annihilated by Kerry.
Seeing that would have done nothing for the Limerick team or their supporters moral.
Mayo will have no problem beating Limerick easily.
The next round, depending on the draw, could be much a trickier affair.

No one has rights to the streaming of championship games except gaago which is only available outside of Ireland.

I'd say it would be the greatest GA shock of all time if Limerick beat Mayo this weekend.

It really wouldn't. Not when you consider how poor Mayo have been in a lot of their qualifier games over the past 2 years. They struggled to beat Derry & Cork last year & they needed a dodgy penalty decision to beat Fermanagh in 2016. If the Mayo that cruised to easy victories in replays over Roscommon & Kerry show up, the game will be over as a contest, after 10 minutes. If they reproduce their early June form from the last two years, God knows what could happen.

Yeah, Mayo are 1/50, I certainly can't think of anything that would be comparable in my lifetime anyway

Thats where I'm coming from. Clare, Fermanagh, Roscommon, we barely scrapped over the line.
Losing to Sligo in a challenge, only for Galway to go bury them last Sunday.

The last 2 years have been squeaky bum time, it SHOULDN'T happen, but who knows.

As a Limerickman, it definitely would.
Mayo are 1/50 for a reason. This is the weakest Limerick team I've seen in all my time of watching. Well beaten by Clare and look how they fared out V Kerry.
Many of the best footballers in the county simply not arsed at wearing the green and white. Some rather play their mickey-mouse soccer league that should've been completed 3 months ago. 2 midfielders that would more than hold their own against any opponents playing with the hurlers,Hegarty and O'Donoghue, (and making the team)
Best defender in the county thought he would make the hurling TEAM last season, but was left on the bench for the entire campaign, sulked, and is now refusing to play football. Outstanding full-back Johnny Mac has retired after an amazing 14 seasons and is really missed. They story goes on....Ian Ryan,Sean Buckley,Eoin O'Connor,Cian Sheehan....
Fear for Limerick in this one, would be happy to make a game of it, but think it may be a record defeat. (which will do sweet F.A. for Mayo) except maybe guarantee 1 or 2 old reliables their obligatory annual All-Star.
If Mayo were to play their reserve 15 they would probably win this.

Mayo then best Roscommon in a challenge ?
All of which means nothing .

Mayo are going to win Saturday
    Probably by 7\8 points
    And then move on

I'm never fully confident going into qualifier games over the last few years. But so far we have always scraped over the line. But I really don't think you could draw any conclusions from results of challenge games, they're challenge games so god only knows what the management could be trying out in the.

I think challenge games are very hard to read at the best of times. Galway got a run on Sligo and did them badly.
One thing that is different to last year is that we are playing better, not a whole pile better but there is a better drive and willingness in our play in comparison to last year. We could have easily beaten Galway if we didn't go down to 14 imo as we had no option but defend deep which resulted in Galway having an easy enough time in defence.

Keegan is back which gives us additional options, COC has additional time to get back to fitness.. there are loads of positives and I just can't see us loosing on Saturday. Either we win easy enough or we get into a bit of a slog for 50 minutes and pull away in the last 10 minutes or so.

A slog could be a good thing, even if it will make the doom & gloom merchants think Christmas has come early. It'll stiffen the resolve and instill good habits, that will be needed if Mayo are to progress thru the qualifiers to the Super 8's and beyond. The heads seemed to drop half way thru the Galway game, when things weren't going well and TP got injured. They can't afford to let that happen again, as there's no safety nets this time around, if they lose.

What's the story with Ian Ryan? Is he still playing?
