    Pathetic game.

    Cafferkey is a complete liability

Haven’t a hope with caff in full back . It’s like starting with a -5 point handicap betting .

A 12 year old wouldnt have dived in like he did for the goal.

Balances out 2 Sweeneys for Galway, Conroy a passenger for long spells too.

Diarmuid O' Connor losing the plot altogether.

    Our forwards are very static.

Not seeing a way back into this. Galway taking their scores with considerably more ease.

That’s 3 games in a row with very poor forward play. Safe to say we have nothing to add to the team . So roll on till Keegan, Vaughan, parsons, OSHEA , Higgins and Moran are back .
    Poor match overall .

This craic is an absolute blight on the game. A shambles to watch

Aidan might as well throw his weight around if he's going to get booked anyway for lads jumping on him.

Cillian (& rest of forwards) needs to find form fairly fast.

    Championship should be tasty.

    Well deserved red for Cillian.

    2 O'Connors gone now surely.

Good enough for Cillian, he's a right prick when he wants to be. That was scumbag behaviour.

    Concentrate on scoring.

One for the quizzers: have two brothers ever been sent off in a county match before?:p

Harsh yellow for Diarmuids first imo but no complaints really. Frustration from poor performance coming out.

Quality as usual from the 2 O Connors

F**k. Saw Paddy Durcan pulling up after that dash up the left. Hope he’s alright.

He's a right prick most of the time on the field in fairness :)
    But he's our prick.

In all fairness that was disgraceful from COC, I wonder will the GAA blog be as quick to call him out as Kerry last week?

Diarmuid's could well have been a straight red too

I wouldn't lose sleep over the result. Pathetic league performances are par for the course over the last few years

Looks like old father time is starting to finally catch up with this current team. Tough to watch that and it was obvious a few of them were hurting especially with the unsavory way the game ended. Quality and performance was more akin to 2010 levels than ever today.

Did you miss the league the last 4 years and back door last year? :)

In all seriousness though I'm reluctantly agreeing

I can't wait to read the musings of a certain website concerning this match!

Diarmuid's was worse than Cillian's, very lucky that wasn't a straight red - Cillian is suspended for Dublin but with the form he's in, he won't be a loss.

Forwards were poor. We had most of the play in the first half, the difference was Galway took their scores very well. Their goal was a great effort despite the defending.

The second half, well the less said the better. Marking was loose and their wasn't an ounce of fluidity going forward. Nothing stuck either. I thought several players were very poor today. Why Nally was brought on with thirty seconds to go is beyond me. All and all a poor day and it doesn't bode well heading into the home game against Dublin.

I think it can be summed as a dreadful performance by Mayo. Boys v Men:(

Not sure how you can come to that conclusion - most of them werent even playing today..

We were poor today. My biggest gripe is when a team sets up like galway set up, why do we play into their hands every time by running onto them? Just set up the same way and cancel it out. We deserved to lose, no question anout it.

Saying that, I thought the ref lost control of the game today. Once he let the galway full back off without the black card tackle on mcloughlin it was all downhill from there. He needed to act early on and in truth he never acted at all.

Re galway, they are a very cynical team and im not sure they are going the right way. Now they deserved to win today, but bigger picture - try the same tactics and general carry on in croke park with a decent ref like gough and im not sure they go very far.

In summary, it was Galway's fault...? :D

Stop talkin ****e. People in Glasshouses shouldn't throw stones. Galway cynical??? What the two o Connors done today was cowardly and scummy. Worry about year own discipline before you look at others
