Charlie is picking up new members at a nice rate I must say. I know its foolish to expect this to be a good storyline given that FC has past form for ruining storylines but ill definitely give them credit for building this slow burner storyline very effectively. It was clever to tie Charlie Manson's arrival with the whole Katy thing and Emmet needing to talk about his problems and attend this therapy/holistic meeting..

Its so weird that Miriam and that other girl magically appear the moment people are arguing or need a new hobby. Are they brainwashed by Phoneix Way themselves? Need new recruits? Con artists exploiting vulnerable people? Genuinely believe in the cause?

Damn you FC I'm intrigued again, but you will only disappoint me!

Is it not common knowledge to everyone in CTown the Spillane is a criminal and scumbag? Why would anyone give him the time of day? He had Robbie beaten up IN the Community Centre. Is Manson not in a relationship with Gripey? He's responsible for his sons death (more than he is). Manson doesn't know this no? Chatting away to him! Different writers I suppose. How could they keep track. Robbie can't even remember he's barred him a thousand times

I think Eoghan was too fixated on helping Katy for any relationship with Manson to develop so she moved on, probably knew that he would be too difficult to get onboard. Again she is right in the thick of it when everyone is kicking off.

Caddle might be next on her list, the way she is acting right now she is highly suggestible. Lately as well they are lingering on Mansons smile longer than they should be, it kind of freaks me out. There is definitely evil there...

Its definitely the most intriguing story in FC for a long long time. If nothing else it makes a bloody refreshing change from your usual soap reliable of affair, siege, domestic violence roundabout. There hasn't been a cult storyline of high profile since Brookside early 90s. The way the world has gone nowadays with mindfulness, holistic therapy etc this Phoneix Way could represent the more sinister side of it. Charlie doesn't look brainwashed herself, id say she is the brains behind it.

Fair city should do a good Halloween episode with miriam and her cult but it will probably all come to nothing

I agree, thats the problem with too many writers. Plus FC have a reputation for ruining storylines, so I don't hold out much hope. Great concept though ill give them that.
