I'm in for whatever division it is now. Initially wasn't going to as have done a draft league manually through WhatsApp with friends last 2 seasons very successful

Myself and a few others here have concluded that 16 players would be too many as the pool of options is then severely limited. The optimum amount would be 8-12 players we reckon. For convenience, those who would like a 10-person league can you thank this post so it's nice and easy to see who wants what.

Will the leagues be sorted by your finishing position last season. Wouldn't that make it more interesting ala premier, championship,League 1,2 etc (If so count me in)

I think limiting the number per division is essential. I'd even go so far as to say that 10 is too many, I'd leave it at 8.

I think 8 is the ideal to be honest. 10 teams requires 30 forwards to be drafted - the 30th ranked forward last year was Janssen!!

I also agree with capping at 64.

Everybody will need a reliable captain choice in the first round. This might prove difficult by pick 9 and 10 so I'd add my vote to leagues of eight.

The draft game doesn't have a captain option, afaik, but I still think an 8 team league would be best.

I think 8 is very small. Depends really what people want from it but I was in a 16 person league last year and it was good that you had to really weigh up decisions. You couldnt just keep going through players without any consequences.
In an 8 player league you will always be able to get 2 playing goalkeepers,absolutely guaranteed. You will be able to keep chopping and changing the lower league players depending on their fixtures.
Maybe that's what people want but I like the longer term thinking better.
I def think 10 would be better than 8.

After reading a few different articles everyone seems to agree that 8 is the best.

I think you need to plan and weigh up decisions just as closely as having 10 or more teams.

You also need to keep people interested and apparently (I've never played myself) one of the greatest pitfalls is that people lose interest if they feel they have a crap team and tune out completely.

Sorry, should have asked this before putting my name in. Is this for money? Or just for fun? I'll pass if it's just for fun because as it's a completely separate team it's not like just firing your team into an extra league. This requires almost daily decisions. Particularly with such small leagues. The waiver wire will be very busy.
I'll be entering paid draft leagues as well as my regular fantasy football team so I feel I'd neglect this if no money involved. I'll edit the list to remove my name if that's the case & not take the space of someone who'd enjoy the banter of this free one. (I'd enjoy the Craic myself but just wouldn't have time for 3 or 4 separate teams)

It is a huge amount of time spent on it as every decision is made specific to this one league. Not like regular where your 1 team is in numerous leagues.

Yeah perhaps we could split up the leagues into paid and free and go from there. A lot of effort will be put into this but some will want to play just for fun so hopefully we can cater for both needs.
