The term social media being shortened to just "social" by 'influencers' etc.

I've had this horrible ball of anxiety in my chest all day and I have no idea why. I can't relax. Someone sedate me.

Check the calendar? I get that periodically.

The modern phenomenon of hyping quite standard weather to make it sound like a plot from a disaster movie.

We have been swamped by how awful this last few days and into the weekend is going to be.

Is it really bad? I think not.

There's a skimming of snow, some slight winds and its cold. It is going to get to -2. A massive -2.

I have been out driving around all day in Donegal, one of the supposedly worst affected counties, and it's been fine. Nothing to worry about.

How did we as a nation survive 2010, when we had a month or more of solid ice and temps down to -18?

The amount of worry about slightly bad weather is laughable in this country.

Just "hype" in general. When every gombeen on the planet is given a megaphone (Internet>social media>mainstream media), it gets very loud and very annoying.

But I have watched RTE, UTV, BBC etc all hype a bit of snow to death the last few days.

Rubbed some tiger balm into the bridge of my nose earlier to help clear the snots. Great elixir.

But some of it remained on my finger unbeknownst to myself, and I had an itch that needed scratching on my eyelash.

Being so smothered in anxiety I can't figure out whether I have grounds to be upset and hurt or if the whole f*cking this is in my head and I'm exaggerating the situation and creating a problem where there is none.

Had world war 3 with my boyfriend while ago and I can't even figure out if it was justified or if I'm being over dramatic.
We made up but I feel really uneasy and not OK about it and now he's at work.

    Anxiety sucks!!

I realised that I've forgotten my reflux meds the last few days so I think it's actually a ball of burning chest pain. Ah well, at least it's not anxiety. Sorry folks, nothing to see here, move along :D

Good luck with your exam tomorrow! If it makes you feel any better I did one of my final exams for college with a fever over 38 degrees. My ramblings about Spartacus got me an A :D

This is true. I did one of my finals the day after my birthday with a raging hangover and ended up with 77% in it. Ramblings are great :D

TA not able to sleep now and can't manage food today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

    Awake since 2am
starving at 7am so decided to have breakfast but no cereal or bread in the house. Choice was a pot noodle or pizza. Picked the pot noodle as it was instant. Was carrying cup of tea, pot noodle and a book up the stairs, tripped and dropped everything and burnt my legs. Broken cup and noodles all over the stairs.

Staying in bed today...can someone deliver toast.

Put up my decorations last night, need batteries and candles so although my decorations are up, they're not finished looking. So I'm sitting here waiting on my husband to get up so we can go to homestore and more. Come on!!

So I made up my IVs which takes a while, one of the antibiotics also needs time to settle so that one takes longer. So anyway there I am injecting the antibiotic into the drip bag and I manage to pierce a hole in the drip back with the needle and it all comes pouring out. I've never done that before, I don't even know how I managed it. So have to start from scratch again, grrrm. Also managed to spill a drink all over the floor as I was taking my tablets. I got very little sleep last night and I am a grumpy bitch.

Apply Vick, or some other vapour rub, to the soles of your feet.
