    HBO, Game of Thrones as the obvious example or the Last of Us latterly, showed that the idea American audiences are dum dums who can't handle complexity or some degree of nuance is exaggerated. If this gets out then this producer has given the series the kiss of death by telling its audience they're too stupid to get "medieval court politics", lol.

    Picard only ran for 3 seasons, and that third iteration has redeemed the show by all accounts. The Witcher would do well to pull it out of the bag as well as Picard managed;

    I think part of the issue is that it's easier for books to focus on various characters. The show is almost solely focusing on Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer. We see short snippets of other characters and their plans etc, but almost exclusively as a setup for something. Because of that, I think people have very little interest in the majority of other characters. Even Jaskier is just on the outskirts of the main three's stories, with little to do on his own. He exists only to support Geralt, because that's all we see of him.

    Had they made Triss, Dykstra and maybe one or two others a bit more central and show us more of their stories, you could go a lot more complex with the story as you'd be seeing some of those characters a lot more and see rather than being told all about it when they finally interact with Geralt/Yennefer.

    Of course he did, it's Netflix. And even so, no matter who joins this disaster, no one can fix it anymore.

    Really like Purefoy in anything he's in but this is going to be a cluster ****.

    Won't even have the goodwill that Blood Origin started with, people will start off looking for things to **** on.

    Going to be fun to see how much is fails.

    It can't fail worse than already did, and it wasn't even funny to see this franchise squandered by inept Netflix writers and poor castings:

    Season 4 is just starting production now? So looking at 2025 release at the earliest.

    Though maybe filming both seasons back to back?

    Yeah I think that's why they announced final season now. Probably easier schedule wise to film back to back
