We need new carpet on stairs, landing and four bedrooms. Anyone know where is best place to go to keep costs low for supply and fit?

My late husband worked for Carpet right, he said the carpets are cheapest as they get their profits from the underlay, so getting your own fitter may also work as they probally get underlay cheaper as trade,,,,, just a thought, expect someone else has a better idea

    Where are you based?

If you're in Dublin I can PM you the details of where we got ours and it was WAY cheaper than anywhere else for a good quality carpet. They also supplied our laminates.

No affiliation just a happy customer.

Hey OP. Did you get any quotes? How much (roughly) was it working out at for carpeting the above? Buying a house at the moment and will need carpet for the same - 4 beds, stairs and landing, can't seem to get a rough estimate off any of the websites. Would be great to get an idea of how much we're looking at.

    Cheers

Was out looking at carpets this weekend for the bedroom. Any recommendations north Dublin welcome.

Also, why is carpet measured in metre widths, but then priced per square yard? Quite annoying having to convert etc.

This is down to nothing other than very poor communication by the "salesperson".

Request what measurement unit works for you, and have all info communicated to you in that unit going forward. Hardly too much to ask.

PM me with any questions you have, as I have a background in the trade and would be happy to help...
