Long shot, interesting show, well worth a watch and only 45mins

Interesting yes - but there is a bit of a logical fallacy at the heart of it. It is proferred to suggest that if
He had not had the good luck to be caught on camera in curb your enthusiasm

He would have been convicted. In fact
it just happened that was his alibi and anyway the more relevant evidence was probably the mobile phone mast data. his alibi could have been going into the local supermarket and being on CCTV there, or just walking down the road and being on cctv, but that would not have been made into a Netflix documentary. He might well have been acquitted if he went before a jury, pointed out the weakness of an ID from an eye witness who didn't know him and had his family testify that he was home watching tv.

In ireland by the way it is mandatory that a jury be given a warning by the judge on the dangers of convicting based on uncorroborated eye witness identification - because it is notoriously unreliable. Not because witnesses intentionally lie, but because identifying someone you don't know and "recognise" later on is inherently prone to honest error.

Reviews for it are decent to good and honestly I have never understood the hatred for McG, sure the Charlie's Angel film I saw was awful but he's done some decent enough stuff and I would have liked to have seen his original version of Terminator Salvation.

Ah, it looks like it'll be a decent no-brainer movie. Here's hoping anyway. I'll report back in a couple of days.

Pedantic Pam! It's a great story and that's why its a Netflix documentary.
Regardless of the ultimate cellphone evidence there was no guarantee that the judge in this case (what was she on anyway?) would have acquitted him based on the fact the evidence was flimsy, the prosecutor was optimistic of her chances of another death sentence even with only the darkened street "eye witness" evidence (and she came across as a career climbing psychopath to add another layer to the story)

Just finished The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio. It stars Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson. It's a true story. I thought it was equal parts funny and touching. Makes you really think about how some women kept households going in years gone by with little to no money coming from their alcoholic husbands.

Good news, everyone! The Meyerowitz Stories earns the honour of being the second actually good Adam Sandler film (sorry, Funny People, you were only okay). It's also like only the second or third actually good Netflix original too.

It's a real strong effort from Noah Baumbach. Not reaching the heights of his two most recent Greta Gerwig collaborations, but good stuff in comparison to the rest of his work. Plays it surprisingly earnest at times, thus capturing the messy intricacies and intimacies of a troubled, oddball family.

Anyone who liked suburra ,look up Gomorrah if you haven't watched already, similar but based in Naples,2 seasons so far. Not on Netflix just giving people a show to watch.

    It's Excellent.

I am 4 in. Solid stuff, really quite gripping. Think C. Britton who plays Kemper is excellent - he really anchors the chilling side of the drama for me.

It's very well done, no doubt it's going to be huge.

“Female is real, and it's sex, and femininity is unreal, and it's gender.

For that to become the given identity of women is a profoundly disabling notion."

Looking forward to getting stuck into Mindhunter. Watched Long Shot last night, really enjoyed it. A handy watch. Started Suburra too, only three episodes in but loving it! I tried The Good Place but found it annoying after a couple of episodes.

I find the main character in the good place very irritating too

Agree with other posters regarding The Babysitter. Nothing amazing but a fun solid horror/thriller. There are much worse ways to pass an hour and a half.
