That polo is a cheap, good fixer upper!

Unless it needs an engine too!
Ad says it has aircon, which it doesn’t. Doesn’t fill me with trust tbh.

You would imagine if it could be fixed on the cheap that the garage would be asking alot more than €300 for it. A good one must be fetching between €1200 and €1500. I'd have my doubts that all it needs is a new gearbox.

I see what the TT owner did with the price matches power it had when left the factory.

Would trade sale not imply it is to be sold within the motor trade only though I would have thought anyway? The last car sales man I was speaking to on the subject would have seemed to have thought so although at another stage in the past a sales guy was trying to sell me a car advertised as trade sale. A google search doesn't provide a definitive answer.

While tidy enough looking I'm not sure many would describe it as a fantastic looking car...

I would very much doubt that mileage and would say it was ragged to bits.

Always wanted the proper petrol rear wheel drive omega the cops use to use in the UK. Some machine.

Always remember when I was so much younger and all I could get insurance on was a 50cc hair dryer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66,721 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Go for it punisher! Offer him €400 and you really have nothing much to lose when you come to sell it on.

I have a trooper I need rid of and a Primera both sitting there 1st before I even think of getting anything else.
Trooper has tax and test. Primera needs an exhaust welding and pass

Great hearing the sound of the V6's in them on Road Wars.

Premera is 02 last of old shape.
Trooper is 3.0 plenty of work done on it. Was hoping to get 1k if possible
Primera I guess be lucky to get 300 or 400 with NCT.

Not too bothered as Primera stands me nothing even has recon gearbox and actually well equipped with a/c and 6cd etc.
Trooper taxed and tested till April

P11 so. And a very good car at that. I owned one myself (my second ever car), an early 90s 1.6SLX hatchback

If your car is in good condition, it has every chance of becoming a classic. If you can, hold onto it. Although your car is far too new to qualify for classic motor tax for a long time yet.
