Steven McColgan - RIP

Lads i've only just learned that our friend and ambassador for shooting sports Steven Mc Colgan has passed away.

Most of you know Steve, some better than others, but i think we can all agree he was a true gent and will be sorely missed. He worked tirelessly for the benefit and furthering of shooting sports, was well known, and well liked.

He was taken far too early and will be sadly missed. My prayers are with his family at this hard time.

Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.


Rest in peace bud.

Absolutely Sickened.

He was a young man and my heart goes out to his wife, 2 young children and his extended family.

I had the unfortunate task of telling a guy today who knows him from shooting in Bisley years ago, so some great stories flew.

You couldnt meet a nicer guy in work or on the range. He is the most professional soldier Ive met and always willing to give advise and have a chat.

Just judging by the people who have been talking about him recently and responses on facebook etc he is going to be missed.

Funeral details:

Reposing at Aras Naofa funeral home in the grounds of The Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore this Thursday 6th April from 5 o’clock. Removal at 7 o’clock to the Church. Requiem Mass on Friday 7th April at 12 Noon with funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Bohermore.
