I have a .22lr rifle which I stated on the FCA1 form at the time was for "pest and vermin control on our farm" . If applying for a shotgun license which will be used for both pest control and some clay shooting, can I put down pest and vermin control as being the reason for licensing the shotgun or will it raise an eyebrow that I'm licensing two guns for the same reason

Hi mate, good luck with your application!

With a little luck you might be posting in the fastest license thread!

Like a Golfer we have different "irons" for different shooting. It's a very common thing to have multiple firearms for very similar to the same reasons.

When applying for the shotgun don't forget to add game. The only thing you need a wildlife license for is deer (not forgetting about Foreshore licenses) so you could say it was for vermin and game during the appropriate season(s).
