Wasn't impressed with the way Searles was sacked, he wasn't given enough time, if Clarke doesn't get sent off they go on to beat Bray easily. He's had to deal with a load of new signings who tbh haven't impressed.

What I would say I defence of the owners is he wasn't their appointment and they now want to put their own stamp on the club and in fairness the 2 appointments this week are very impressive. Let's hope it's the end of the manager merry-go-round for a long time and there's now stability at the club. The club has been an embarrassment at board level for years but this looks like it has longevity behind it.

Netflix missed out on a hell of a football series these past few years 😁

    7-1 win

What a start to the Keith Long Era

The difference one the second goal went in was massive, confidence flowing.

    Roland was immense tonight

Searle was out of his depth. An academy manager is his level, he shouldn't have been near a senior team. His in game management was pathetic and was lucky to have fantastic players bail him out. The difference was there for all to see on Friday when Waterford kept attacking , if Searle had of been in charge he would have sat back. Roll on Cobh.

We scored plenty of goals last year with Danny, so think that's a bit reductionist tbh.

Roll on Cobh Away on Friday #BLUEARMY

We should be betting Kerry by more than 1-0

The Premier Division is so competitive and the 9th place team could be a big gun

Just happy to get the win tbh, we certainly weren't clinical on the night, blazed loads of chances over the bar. Coughlan is a really good signing .

How good is Phillips though, won everything that came his way the other night , brilliant in the air.

Can't see us passing Galway, though we'll run them close. Allowing for medium-level risk play-offs, our season is looking wearyingly familiar as we plod through the Summer towards a season climaxing winner takes all play-off against UCD in Richmond Park, once again.

    Third time lucky?

  • Registered Users Posts: 341 ✭✭Crusty Blaa

I think we'd be lucky to get UCD in a playoff - they aren't near as good a team this year as they have been the last few years. I reckon they will go straight down and that'll leave one of the likes of Cork, Shels, Drogheda or Sligo in the playoff match if we even get there of course.

If we can somehow take 6 points off Galway in our next two games against them, that will hopefully rattle them and we'll see how good they are then. It's a tough ask but a long way to go.

Exact same thoughts, Philips is a great addition back there and him being given the armband only highlights that. Coughlan is on fire at the minute, I think Kerry did very well, they have been hockeyed once by Galway, that's it. They defend deep and in numbers and we are still finding our feet under a new set up (again)

Very happy with the progress made in the past few weeks overall

Great win Away to Treaty last nite.. That's 5 wins on the hop.. Coughlan on fire.. Keep the pressure on Galway.. This League far from over..

What is the capacity, 3,100 or so, it's a lot of people if it's even close to that, but with the night ahead and no pubs open, it may already be full

Big game tonight up in Bray.. Always a hard place to get a result.. Hopefully we get the 3pts and keep the winning streak up

Playing Fleetwood in a Friendly in July during there pre season trip

The Block E boys will bring the Fleetwood supporters on a right owl piss up

6 wins in a row now and another 2 goals from Ronan Coughlan. We should beat Wexford at home on Monday and then a big game away to Galway. We'll probably need to beat Galway a couple of times to have a chance of catching them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭skaface

Piss poor again.. Had our eyes on Galway.. Forgot about Wexford today.. Advantage Galway

  • Registered Users Posts: 341 ✭✭Crusty Blaa

Got away with it in a way with Galway also losing. We really need to win now on Friday.

Our performances over the last few weeks have been poor despite winning and a loss was coming.

We really need to shape up on defending crosses and set pieces. Nearly all the goals we concede are identical.

We also need a bit of a dog in defence or midfield with some experience. We lack that grit. Someone in the Alan Reynolds/Paul Keegan mould (dreaming!). Obviously hard to find mid season. Baptiste provided it last year, need someone similar. We are too soft.

Opportunity lost with Galway also losing. Still the Blues take them on now in their own backyard with their air of invincibility gone.

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭skaface

Beat Galway Friday night and we have them pegged back to 4pts.. Long season left yet.. Roll on Friday nite.. Big Away support expected to travel on Friday

All the good chances fell to Coughlan again at Wexford, that's a problem right there. We need other lads to chip in when he's misfiring.

Btw the Block E boys would want to find their voices, barely heard anything after we went the goal down.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,167 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

They were probably all saving there voices for Norrises

  • Registered Users Posts: 741 ✭✭✭Dunmoreroader

Change the play-off opponent to Cork and the playoff venue too (Limerick?) and the rest playing out as predicted.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,146 ✭✭✭✭StringerBell

I would have said Block E h as been pretty poor all season tbh, sure we can all sign when 5 up but beyond that it isn't great - is it possible the section has been diluted somewhat with the introduction of picking your own seat?

Plenty of Noise from the Block E Boys up in Galway.. Were any of ye up there that are lagging them off.. Not much to shout about their performances at home or away at the moment.. If the lads weren't there, it would be like a mourge at the RSC

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,563 ✭✭✭Boooourns

Oh I 100% agree that they're badly needed. With the ground the way it is with the running track the atmosphere can be sh!te and they sound much better away from home in tighter grounds.

The RSC badly needs an atmosphere and when they're quiet like they were against Wexford the whole ground is dead. It's pure frustration when you're sitting there, my singing days are well gone btw 😁 , gone are the days when I'd sneak in a few cans and give it a lash.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,146 ✭✭✭✭StringerBell

    What are you talking about?

We have just come off a run of 6 wins on the trot.

It is quite often like a morgue in the RSC this season, bar when we go 2/3 up.

It isn't just block e supporters that travel to away games, us block d supporters often turn up too 🙄

"People say ‘go with the flow’ but do you know what goes with the flow? Dead fish."

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭skaface

What are you on about boy.. Start making some noise yourself so.. Not just up to Block E to be making noise, and any atmosphere that is down in the RSC is coming from their section, so my point stands.. Can't blame Block E for atmosphere down there.. It's up to everyone

  • Registered Users Posts: 341 ✭✭Crusty Blaa

Let's face it - it's an impossible ground to create any type of proper atmosphere in because of the running track and the big empty voids behind the goals.

Well it is really up to them as they're the self appointed singing section. If there's going to be any kind of atmosphere it has to come from them.

Our problem at the moment is we think we should be winning every home game bar Galway and when it's not going to plan it's creates a dull ground. Also have the issue with first division clubs not bringing a big away section to rival in the ground.

Christ I miss the Premier division.
