    Unlike your roads whinge, this actually does look like bad planning/design , unless it is in place like this and will be edged up, or possibly a temporary structure,doesn't appear so though.

    I don’t mean to be smart but where were all these people complaining about the new bridge when the new gas works carpark was in the public consultation phase?

    True.part of problem is road v water levels looks like they are restricted (to a certain extent) about how high/low the bottom of bridge will be.by that I mean, at normal to high tide the water level is not far from road level, little higher on gas works side so I'd imagine it will slope down to meet road.doing humped bridge might not be option because its for cars and short span, not an expert though.
    Better news, heard the lovely old steel lattice pedestrian bridge is going back in.
