Realise I'm probably a little naive here but where does the demand for prostitutes really come from? Single men? Married men? Young? Old?

Is sex really that scarce in today's world?

Also the talk of married men who aren't getting any is that really as big a problem as its made out to be. I can only think of one women i know who has gone completely off sex since having children but she was never really keen on sex before then anyway - her husband knew this before he married her.

Everyone that goes to prostitutes gets STD 100% of the time. And where did you get that it's illegal to go to prostitutes? It is LEGAL to pay for sex in Ireland so you can freely go to all the escorts you want without breaking the law. Another misinformed person spreading false information.

Where are you getting that from ? "Everyone that goes into prostitution gets STD 100% of the time"

Totally untrue. You have more of a chance of cathching something from a one night stand than an escort. We (yes, we) are always very careful, condoms and regular STI checks are the norm for escorts.

It comes from all kinds of men. Married, single, young and old, lonely, bored, stressed. They have lots of reasons

But surely that demand can be satisfied without resorting to paying for it? Its not the 1930s, women enjoy sex too and surely the majority require sex ever much as men do!

I can only speak for myself. I'm independent. Part time and I'm happy with it. I work from a safe and clean hotel. I make the rules and I keep myself to myself. I have a regular clientele now so that's a good thing I guess. No more worrying about what's coming to the door.

Honestly I don't know about that. You would think that but I suppose if they just want to meet someone on their lunch break Or after a long day at work then for some it's the only way ?

And then there's the confidentiality of it all too. I'm not going to text him afterwards and annoy him haha

There are some sexual fantasies that prostitution provide. I'm mean there's a lot more to sex than just getting up on eachother. I mean bondage isn't something a lot of women are into, if a woman/man provides this service then people will avail of it.

Women enjoy sex with a subset of men. Some men have difficulties relating to women. It's funny when rape culture is bandied about, when there are lots of men who are afraid to even talk to women in a flirty or sexual way. It's very confusing for them. That's an area where escorts can really help, taking some of the mystery out of it. They are still women after all - and they aren't going to shoot you down.

"In Dublin" magazine, in its heyday, published and profited hugely from ad's for so called massage parlours where it was implicit yet never overtly stated that sexual services were for sale. Websites such as "Escorts Ireland" are just a natural evolution of this.
The harsh reality of prostitution remains unchanged, however. These girls - from the poorest regions of Eastern Europe - are trafficked into Ireland illegally, moved around the country effectively as sex slaves, gaining little financial reward whilst under the control of violent pimps.

Thanks for your responses. What are your clients like, are they mostly respectful of you, or do some of them treat you badly? Just curious. The narrative is that they are all abusive.

    LaraLushh doesn't fit that profile.

But surely if these men are afraid of and are intimidated by the average woman, then would find an experienced prostitute even more intimidating or am I missing something?

Plenty of happily married men are not getting it enough at home. Wives unwilling to preform certain sexual acts.

Escorts provide a safe way for them to get their balls drained and not harm anyone by cheating.

except that is cheating. even if the wife says yes its just approved cheating.

you always hear the hes unhappily married excuse for married men using prostitutes, its a handy way of excusing the behaviour.

It is funny to see so many liberal posts towards prostitution when you consider that if this conversation came up within a group friends in real life that I think it would be incredibly rare to see people voice those type of views. I often wonder about the duality of our nature with regards stuff like this as to how we have been conditioned to act and say certain things IRL that don't align in anyway with our views when put behind a keyboard anonymously.

it would be like putting a plaster over a stab wound. those timid men would be better off improving their social skills naturally.

If you wanted a doctor for a suspected STD, would you be more intimidated walking into a bar and asking every man there if he could help, in the hope one of them was a doctor, or going to your local GP? Would the fact the GP had seen it before make it more intimidating? Seems obvious to me.

Why do you think men go to them ? and mostly married men at that ?

No my clients are all fine. And if they were abusuve I would never see them again. As I said previously, I have regulars now and I very very rarely see new clients. It's just not worth the worry or the money to take any chances.

because they get away with it. they can always go with the "my wife wont have sex any more" excuse. who are people going to believe? bit like the "herself wont let me out this weekend" excuse.

It is cheating, you are correct. And I detest cheating. Other forms of cheating are not illegal though, just this one.

Tis the shame of talking about sex in Ireland, we are still miles behind having open & frank discussion's about sex & may God strike down the first TD who brings it up.
