Is he involved in the entertainment industry, writing, directing, author etc?

If he allows your question then happy to withdraw mine as yours would help us to rule in/out more options.

Lemony Snicket is quite topical at the moment. What do you guys think? Not sure if the last question would rule him out.

hmmmm, Stephen King is 69, Georgie is 68

    Mmm, so that rules in:

George RR Martin - though he said he "sometimes" writes sci-fi fantasy so surely that would rule him out.

    Rules out:
    Lemony Snicket, aged 46.

Does horror come under the sci-fi fantasy category?

If not then mostly horror and "sometimes" sci-fi fantasy might work.

Though I'd have thought horror is in the sci-fi fantasy genre.

Oh I think horror is a genre in it's own right. But I dunno, SK was the the first old guy author I could think of after George RR

    Or George a Romero

Although many of these guys do shown up in extra roles in their movies. I'm taking it this is not considered acting for the purposes of the answer "not an actor"... that's not a question , just thinking out loud...
