Klopp will go with the same team as the other night. They are playing away, confidence is low and will go with the 3 in the middle for solidity.

Mane has played an awful lot of football with no rest, Klopp will use him wisely and I cant see him breaking up the team from the other night - doesn't tend to on the back of a good performance. Mane will start the following week. With that extra week off.

Since New Years Day Mane has played

    2/1 90 minutes v Sunderland
    15/1 90 minutes v Tunisia
    19/1 90 minutes v Zimbabwe
    28/1 120 minutes v Cameroon
    31/1 15 minutes v Chelsea

That is 405 minutes in total, or 4.5 full games. In the same span Emre Can has played 585 minutes.

If Mane can't play tomorrow because hes had too much football, poor Emre must be on the verge of hospitalisation!!

I'm 0.6 short of doing Giroud to Lukaku. I like the balance of my team so don't want to make too many transfers, but I am considering Ibra to Jesus.

Madness, after just two blanks from Ibra? Good home fixtures coming up but apparently paper and reality are two very different things at Old Trafford at the moment. Both players have pretty much the same blank GW potential as far as I can tell, though Jesus is obviously a rotation risk. Their respective fixtures this weekend are also influencing my thinking I'm sure...

    Bellrin TO PVA done.

Likely to get a City Mid for Pedro but waiting to hear from Pep.

If he indicates anything about Aguero will you report back ?

Jones to PVA for a -4, if Defoe scores against Palace, I think that will break me

    PVA looks set to start...

    From BBC:

"New £14m signing, Patrick van Aanholt will also face his former club for the first time but Big Sam says he will be "okay".

"He's a professional, he chose us and very quickly he's playing his old club. We will want to give a good performance"."

    Good man, Sam. Good man

OK folks fill me in what am I missing on PVA? I know the guy's a bit of a cult hero but I'm a bit shocked by so many on here getting him in. I can see Palace have some handy fixtures but is it not a bit early to be putting faith in their defense when to this point they've been pretty awful in that regard?

Big Sam made a point of saying he was happier with the clean sheet than the victory last time out. I'm paraphrasing on that.

That's all he's been working on in training it seems.

PVA played in the wingback role and provides a great attacking threat.

    Think that's about it.

What needs to happen for Palace to have a match inGW28?
Looking at Jones to Funes Moriarty/PVA/McAuley

He's a wing back who plays like a Centre Forward. He takes some direct free kicks.

4 goal and 3 assists in 33 appearances last season.

3 goals and 1 assist so far in 20 appearances for Sunderland this season. (1 goal less than Coleman and he's 0.7m cheaper).

    Fulham need to beat Spurs.

Odds wise its the 2nd most likely game to go ahead, but still around 85% chance of it being blank.

Yet he's just barely on page 1 on the defenders list. Don't get me wrong, i see the potential, i've just been surprised on just how many are getting him in when Palace just got their first league clean sheet for 9 games. They're in 18th position and have the 4th worst defense in the league. £5.0m is pricy enough i think. Time will tell, but i definitely think he's in the punt category. Likely blank in gw28 too.

Worth getting Pva in for Daniels this week?

Other defenders are Coleman McCauley Holgate and Pieters.

I wouldn't trust the odds on that spreadsheet.

Fulham are 3/1 and Spurs are 1/5 best prices so 75-83 percent chance of a blank.

Is that result or to qualify?

I think he just uses Skybet odds, wouldn't imagine he shops around too much. Gives you the general idea though.

Call me crazy as this is completely out of character, but now isn't the time to take risks on players.

Jesus looks fantastic but will almost certainly have blanks in 26 and 28. He's also going to share gametime with Aguero.

Lukaku, while being the greatest troll known to FPL, will have no blanks and fantastic fixtures.

    To qualify.

I'm not complaining but he overestimated the percentages for all the games whatever method he was using. Close enough to have a good idea though.

    A) Davies and Costa
    or
    B) Coleman and Benteke

B has better fixtures, A are in better teams.

Pains me but I agree. I'm surprised a little by the rush to City players. I prone to a punt and fond of a hit, but one thing I hold to is not to get a player in for just one GW where they have a plumb fixture you're afraid of missing. Bournemouth away next so kinda 2 fixtures, but I'm afraid its a wait situation for me.

Lukaku is gonna drive us all insane when he gets a 1 pointer in GW28 when we've all got him captained, while teams with 5 players beat us off the park.

But you gotta play the probability and the sensible line at least some of the time.

    3 options
    1 giroud to benteke
2 giroud and Stanislas to Barnes and firmino -4
3 giroud and Stanislas to lukaku and Carroll Swansea -4
    What do we think
Giroud to Andy Carroll is probably another option.

Want to get Coleman in for Rose, but already have Holgate and Baines

    Am I mad?

Transfer next week would be Holgate to Robinson.

Other option is Brunt/McAuley, but already haev Foster

    Option 3 I'd say for GW28

    <snip>

Right, can't bring myself to lose Ibra, and Jesus is still too risky at this stage.

I'm now on the verge of doing Giroud to Lukaku and Baines to Funes Mori. Not ideal to take a -4 to transfer one team's defender for another, but really want to make the other transfer. And with the guaranteed game in 28 for Everton (assuming no injury to Romelu) it's really like a -2...
