Screen sharing in tech support with US companies - risks

I was chatting with a tech support 'artist' with an IQ of about 10 tonight, working for a major US software producer. I didn't know where s/he was located. They asked if they could do some screen sharing. I refused, given the lack of accountability and anonymity of the situation and cancelled my over-priced cloud account…
