More than likely Giroud back to Costa

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,842 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Have exactly enough to do Costa to Kane so it looks likely even though I will have to do it this evening to avoid price changes.

Would have prefered to hold off given Giroud's injury (who I just got in)

    Benteke to Kane looks likely.

On Pedro watch now against Leicester.

Benteke is on the chopping block. Don't know why I went for him in my wildcard.

Transferref kane out for aguero last week. Looks like a great move now.

May bank depending on Costa situation, could do with getting Kane though. Should have done it this morning when I had my WC ! :o

Friend or a Burnley defender also.

Any idea on who will step in to replace Vertonghen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,817 ✭✭✭bantee

Thinking DeRoon to Stanislas or Redmond but that would leave me with very little cash in the bank if I needed it and changing to a 3-5-2 with Ibra & Aguero up top.
At the moment I have Holebas, Anichebe & Amat as bench fodder so I think it makes sense. Any thoughts? Or else upgrade Anichebe and bench DeRoon and go 3-4-3.

Chambers rising, have Heaton and don't fancy a double up there.

Is Chris Brunt injured now also?

    Any other spurs defender

Will be keeping an eye on (Fr) Hernandez of Hull. Cheap, scoring and on pens.

    Antionio getting hard to ignore.

Wimmer is the obvious choice, but Ben Davies played LCB for Wales at the Euros so could be him too. The other option is Carter-Vickers but he is right-sided so unlikely.

They could also revert to a back 4 in which case Son or Sissoko would be the beneficiary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

Will most likely do Giroud back to Costa but want to wait as long as possible to hear what's happening with Costa while also keeping one eye on Giroud's price thanks to his yellow flag!

    2FTs, 0mitb , where should I go from here?

    Randolph, Mandanda
    Jones, Alonso, Friend, Holebas, Amat
    Sanchez, Lallana, Philips, Hazard, Fletcher
    Ibra, Defoe, Costa

Might have to get rid of Costa, but not too keen on anyone under 10m tbh.

Your team looks good for next week. Hold on and see what happens with Costa. He plays Hull and I've a feeling it'll all be sorted by then.

Zero spurs cover is your problem.

Hazard doesn't justify his price. Downgrade to Alli or Erikson or to Pedro/Willian if you want Chelsea players.

    Then change Costa to Kane.

Kane did burn a lot here with two blanks at Xmas in easy games but he has 13 epl goals in his last 13 epl games.

Is it worth doing Hazard to Alli/Eriksen now even though they play Hull next??Ideally next week would be better to transfer him out but I don't really want to miss out on the price rises that Kane is gonna get. Fixture wise, my team looks great for next weekend and by then i'll have 3FT to play around with.

Hazard isn't worth the money but don't sell him before Hull at home. He still has great home form.

In your situation I'd wait until Friday to see if there's any surprise injuries in press conferences

Spurs play city away. Chelsea play hull at home.
Play the fixtures coming up, not react to what happened today.
If Costa is ruled out, maybe get Kane in then but other than that I'd prefer Costa for next week.
You can only have 2FTs on any given week. You won't get a 3rd.
So if Costa is staying I'd just use 1 of your ft to get rid of holebas. Pieters a good option.
But wait and see how Costa situation pans out first

You can not have 3 FT
    You will lose one
    And
    Form
    Over
    Fixtures

I've tried to learn that . It's hard to stick to.
But Spurs are flying . City away is not the fixture it may appear to be

Not trying to be smart but maybe try and make a few decisions yourself. I've noticed you popping in for advice and then slating/moaning in the GW thread.

At least if you make your own decisions it's easier to take the good with the bad as it's your own responsibility. It also feels a lot better rather than following advice blindly.

I can't tell if you're being serious. In the 11 weeks from 9-19 either Vertongen or Alderweireld didn't play 9 times. Wimmer played 3 times.

Most of my squad is built on decisions made by myself!! I just like to get opinions on certain moves but that doesn't mean I take their word for it every time. I was told to get rid of Holebas this week, didn't listen to them and he got a cs today. Was also told by someone to switch Alonso to Walker/Rose as they're in form. Didn't take that advice either and thank god for that. Don't think I other people make my decisions for me just because I like to get second opinions. And I don't see a problem in opening up discussions on transfer moves, especially in a specific thread made for just that!!! And on the moaning in the GW thread, most of that thread is of people moaning and killing themselves over their decisions gone wrong. Don't know why you're singling me out??? I barely make 3 or 4 posts in that thread a week!!

I suppose I was basing it on 'where do I go from here?'

That's a bit different to discussing your intentions and getting feedback on your proposed moves.

Don't feel singled out as that is not my intention. You just have a memorable username.

I don't agree that 'most of that thread is people moaning.....' but it has certainly been a bit more like that recently alright.

What's the twitter page that has been fairly good at getting the Liverpool team?

Might bring Sturridge in for giroud next week if his ankle injury rules him out. Want to see if they have a team up for united match tomorrow and if they get it right.

They always have the correct lineup.
I wouldn't fully rely on this though as a couple of times they didn't give a lineup and just retweeted the official lineup when it came out.

Thanks. Liverpool play the early game next Saturday and swansea are woeful! If giroud doesn't make it or is doubtful and that site has Sturridge as a starter before deadline I think I'll go with him.

Interesting that they're predicting Sturridge not to start tomorrow.

Need to get a pool attacker in for next week. My only midfielders I can change are eriksen and sanchez so eriksen might disappears for the city match..
Hard this season with so many big players scoring . You can't have them all .
Also have costa but I will try and hold onto him for Hull. Pity Liverpool don't have a striker who will definitely play

Anfield express they have got it right every time I've checked. Sometimes its not the full team but may just be that so and so will start or not start. I'm off to that game so have left the money itb to do Defoe to sturridge if they say he starts. Alternatively giroud to sturridge if he is injured.

Wimmer wasn't even on the bench today so Davies was brought on when Vertonghen got injured and he can play LCB however Wimmer did play last week in the cup game at villa.
.. On the other hand he barely played when Alderweireld was injured (Dier was drafted in to CB instead) and even well before that Wimmer wasn't getting named on the bench for the first few months of the season and was nowhere to be seen (no reports of injury).

I've a feeling you're going to see a lot of goals!

When I brought Alli in a few games ago it was with a view to switching him to coutinho for the Swansea game. Given Alli's form and fixtures after the city game that's no longer an option.
So Sturridge would be a very good alternative if starting.
I'll also consider bringing in Coutinho for Lallana depending on how coutinho plays today as coutinho is someone I'd like in my team for the foreseeable future whereas lallana is just a bit of a stop gap.
