The SNL woman that wrote one of the nastier tweets was suspended and her account frozen while it was investigated and she gave a public and contrite apology.

Which is the way things should have worked. The left is seedy? Can you imagine if this happened with Trump insulting some kid? Deny, double-down, lie.

So, in short, you are looking for the odd complete dick and spreading your views on them to the entire "left", which is not only intellectually lazy, but demonstrably untrue.

The Rep/Dem thing at the end is pointless to bring up when it's pretty well known that ideologically, the Reps and Dems switched sides and judging modern either by the distant past is pointless. This is a very well-known bit of history, even outside the States.


Is anyone else curious as to why exactly Trump, wanting to keep Mexicans out of the US, is deliberately doing so much damage to Mexico? Send the peso plunging, exacerbate poverty in the most vulnerable and how do people react? THEY GO NORTH. Into the US. He is actually busily creating the problem he's pretending to solve. Whether or not that's deliberate, some great cunning plan to create a problem to solve, or whether it's just his own bullying nature I don't know. Although it reminds me of how he acted over the Scottish golf course and his infamous eminent domain attempt to get an elderly widow's house (her name was Vera Coking). Donnie wants something, people stand in his way, they must be punished so Donnie can get what he wants. The Mexican government has defied him, Mexico must be punished.

Twitter and youtube comments are full of the dregs of society.

You could go outside and talk to people on the other side of the political fence face to face and see what they really believe. You'll be surprised that they're overwhelmingly human, and agree with you on most things, but might have a different approach to solving problems.

If you talk to lots of people and most of those conversations go badly, the common denominator in those discussions is you.

I mentioned it ages ago on this thread but it was constantly said by some right wingers that Michelle Obama was a transsexual and that their daughters had been kidnapped. There were others that said that they hoped the daughters were raped (Edit: btw, one of the daughters was 11 at the time).
No-one said that the right wing were hypocrites because some idiots said that. At any point where Barron Trump is mentioned on this thread you'll see that people have said that saying those things is wrong. The worst that was said on here about Barron Trump was probably me when I said the kid looked bored witless as any 10 year would be listening to a load of old guys making speeches.

As for calling someone Uncle Tom. That's not nice. Neither is calling someone a renegade jew as Bannons site Breitbart did.

btw, let's not forget that Trump himself has said that Cruz's father might have helped assassinate Kennedy. He retweeted unflattering photo's of Cruz's wife. He told people to check out a non existent sex tape of one of his detractors. Trump is seedy as fcuk.

I couldn't give a flying **** about nonsense stories like this. He wants us to talk about bs like this because it distracts the public from what's really going on with him: Making as much money as possible with his alliance with Putin which is out for oil money and destroying western democracies.

To be fair, what she said was horrible and she absolutely deserved the backlash. I did get the impression from her apology that it was sincere, at least.

Although no point trying to compare to Trump. I did it too, but let's be honest, the opposition are expected to act like rational, reasonably honorable adults. Trump isn't and nor are his closest advisors. It's nutty and shameful on his followers that rant at others who try to make up for dumb **** they do while setting the bar so low for Trump that it's barely existent. While I'm here, I read probably the most spot on post I've read on the internet in a long, long while last night.

Since the story has died down in the last few days (unfortunately) it's important to remember that the Trump-Putin alliance is alive and well, and for anyone who doubts its existence/ isn't completely clear on what's going on this is worth a read.

If we used his standard of holding the left to blame for everything anyone on the left says/does then we'd have to hold the right responsible for saying that an 11 year old girl should be raped.
