They have learned nothing and it's almost like they had such a great time in the last election, they want Trump for the full 2 terms :)

I saw that. Do they want a second trump term. Becuase this is how you get a second trump term.

    This...

one side support ethnic cleansing... the other are maybe overly sensitive.

    Totes equally as bad.

I'd agree with that, the SJW crew make me roll my head in despair at times, the alt right make me want to go rioting. They have some similar traits, both want safe spaces, both shut down debate with identity politics, but read up on Spencer and then find a "SJW" which such frightening ideas and I will buy ya a pint.

I think I understand what you are saying but I feel like my problem with the current state of play is not that people are protesting or that people object in a manner not to my taste. I really am starting to fear that one of the greatest threats we are starting to face is complete obfuscation of the real issues in place of hysterical nit picking over misspelled tweets or a wife's momentary facial expression. It is like we are now caught in the grip of some reality TV frenzy and intelligent, educated, capable people are right in there with no objectivity what so ever being themselves everything that they hate. On some level it's almost as if the western world have got the president they deserve, big on tweets and bluster, small on meaningful, coherent content.
Whether we like it or not the world and the Trump administration are moving on, meetings being held, policies being formulated. Gaze needs to firmly shift back there. Distraction has been the only real product of the last 3 months since the election. People really need to get back to either shutting up and not adding further to the distracting sideshow or start talking about what this new administration are actually doing.

    This. With a caveat.

IMHO we are literally now living in that reality tv program. The most powerful man in the world is a reality TV star. Many people live their lives as though they're participants in a grand reality tv show, instagram, snapchat, facebook etc. And to be honest they are not wrong to do so, because, success in these fields (likes etc) results in real success.

If we are to confront this and I think we should we also need to realise that just standing in opposition with it is not enough. Liberals can hold their head high and refuse to engage in the below belt tactics of their opponents as they want... but that will lead to castration on the liberal side and free reign on the other. Trump may need to be defeated on his own terms.

So now his administration has banned any US Department of Agriculture scientist or spokesperson from sharing anything...

    http://www.pe.com/articles/environmental-823892-agency-trump.html
In a memo to employees at USDA’s Agricultural Research Service, chief of staff Sharon Drumm said the agency would immediately cease releasing any “public-facing” documents.

“This includes, but is not limited to, news releases, photos, fact sheets, news feeds, and social media content,” read the email memo obtained by The Associated Press.

A statement released by ARS spokesman Christopher Bentley said the agency “values and is committed to maintaining the free flow of information between our scientists and the American public as we strive to find solutions to agricultural problems affecting America.”

Anything to protect the people from pesky science I guess.

Same goes for the Environmental Protection Agency and the Dept. of Interior also had everything regarding attendances to the inauguration scrubbed from twitter.

Well the poster I responded to implied they'd committed crimes all ready, which they haven't. It was just hysterical nonsense.

Don Black? Richard Spencer arrested in Hungary?

Oh look, for his latest whizz, Kim Don Trump is putting a gag order on the Environmental Protection Agency and stopping their work.

    The man is a despot.

Perhaps Hank can explain this one to everyone, or maybe that spicer fella whos is being lauded today for answering questions.

What would be the reason to gag the EPA ? something something Oil pipe lines something something Trump inc has shares in oil companies something something he claims to have sold all shares but can provide no evidence of the same....

Dakota Pipeline's been freed up again. And yeah, he has investments in it directly as I recall, not just dodgy connections to Oil.

What has he done so far for the American worker?

I think Ive got it. I was trying to work out how he would manage the obvious increased costs due to relocating vehicle production back from Mexico.

But he is just going to roll back epa requirements meaning no new r&d for more efficient engines etc.

Why are they curtailing publication from the EPA and other science & research agencies? Can some one please try to give a plausible explanation other than trying to control public opinion & clamping down on science & education.

I see the gag order extends to agencies in the Department of Agriculture and Department of Health and Human Services. Clamping down on science and anything that might go against Trump's plan. This is the most alarming thing he's done to date. The age of ignorance is well and truly here.

It's such a specific gag order. As have been other activities such as the removal of LGBT information. Very specific IMO. What is he/they targeting or controlling?

I'd be cautious on the removal of LGBT info, if it's the White House page. He's more specifically -not replaced- Obama's administration's info. Not that that's good either.

I got nothing for the top one, other than that isn't it so much easier to strip down regulation that protects workers and the environment if there isn't pesky scientific research units pointing out why what he's doing is a really bad idea.

Why focus on something trivial like the EPA being gagged when there's all these protest videos and people saying the wrong thing on twitter to worry about.

Fair point, I'll concede that one (though I'm still sceptical)

Well, when asked today whether the Trump administration will repeal Obama's executive order extending protection for LGBTQ workers, Sean Spicer's response was that he didn't know and he didn't think they'd gotten that far through the executive orders yet which is such a useless answer that...yeah, skeptic away. It's pretty justified.

Yeah, by foreign robots. Those nasty robots will be deported, and American robots employed in their place.
