Picked mine up this morning in my local Boots before posting it here.. good few on the shelf!

Tobacco & Amber is the Daily Fragrance scent so presumably you'll smell like a mixture of an ould lad from a pub in the early 90's and a scientist from Jurassic Park.

The fragrance (and the other two in that 'premium' line) are regularly for sale for €6 in one place or another. The Tobacco and Amber is actually really nice and not what you might expect from Lynx.

    Thanks OP

That Daily Fragrance is great, lasts ages and smells great(I have the three smells)

Plus even at full price its much cheaper than most aftershaves and in some cases lasts longer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,081 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

Rule No.1 - If it's 50% off and on HUKD, get it now. Eitherway, you'll never see this for €7.80. Not a chance.

Had a look in Newbridge, but none around. Did see one that looked really similar. Lynx and also €13, but no razor. Just be cautious if asking someone to pick it up for you

Set from OP is available in Boots Jervis Street. Good few left as of lunchtime. Definitely includes the trimmer or "hair detailer" as Lynx describe it

lol i had to google daycent, even though i know or think you are using slang for decent.
Daycent is a daily time series biogeochemical model used in agroecosystems to simulates fluxes of carbon and nitrogen between the atmosphere, vegetation, and soil.

It's good if you need the trimmer / detailer I guess.

The rest could be picked up for €13 any day of the week if you shop around.

Boots / Dunnes / Tesco always have Lynx on offer.

Plenty of these in Boots in Patrick's St. this morning if anyone looking for one.

Is the hair trimmer for trimming a beard? Seems remarkable value if so. Or just the edges of a beard or something along those lines.

    Stock checker is bollix.

Went into Tralee Boots and there were stacks of them along with a range of others 50%.

It's being sold as a "hair detailer". Have not tried it yet but seems to be a reasonable quality, battery operated trimmer for wherever you may by hirsute enough to require trimming ;)

    Two cutting length options; 3mm & 6mm

    Is the 70% on today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,081 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

nah... they'll announce it on their Facebook page. The staff themselves only get a 24 H notice as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,081 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

Anyone who got one of these, is the trimmer up to scratch?

I don't use hair gel so that'll be binned and if the trimmer is rubbish it's just €7.80 for fragrance and antiperspirant which isn't really *that* great a deal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,014 ✭✭✭Soarer

Not great. Single AA battery job. Would probably do if you were stuck.

Is it just that it zips through batteries, or does it actually cut hair ok?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,153 ✭✭✭✭dodzy

It's a grand neck hair and locks trimmer. I'd say the battery will last ages as it's a small neat device. Noisy as fück though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 588 ✭✭✭Buddy97mm

This reduced to €7.80 today with general 70% reductions on Christmas items in Boots. Can hardly go wrong at that?
