The first Bullseye 360 competition for 2017 is scheduled for Sunday, 15th January, 22017.

This is an open comp, and includes any sights, action, caliber, etc. As a Bullseye and Match comp there is no rests or supports of any type. This includes slings, rests, bags, bipods, sticks, etc. Nothing.

Simply sign in at the main reception desk, pay your entry fee, collect your score card and proceed to the appropriate range. Simples.

Pistol comp will be begin at 10:30 sharp, and Rifle comp begins at 12:30.

The shoots will be broken up into a four different disciplines. They are:
    • Centrefire Pistol Bullseye
    • Rimfire Pistol Bullseye
    • Rifle, Short Course
    • Rifle Long Course

You may enter as many of the disciplines as you like, as often as you like. This is an open competition meaning all are welcome. There are no restrictions on the caliber or type of gun you use. A ranking system being worked on last year will hopefully be introduced towards the start of this year. It will take effect when enough shoots have been completed to properly place each competitor in their appropriate class. These are:
    • A - Master
    • B - Expert
    • C - Marksman
    • D - Standard

I've never done this, but have heard great things.

What style targets are you shooting at?

Looks like a PL6 to me, certainly not far off it. Pretty standard 50m black and white target with a REALLY BIG 10 ring. Makes you feel great about yourself altogether! :D

The both of you should come out - great craic!

You remember the target i got you to shoot when i met you at the Midlands? The large single target one that covered the entire sheet? That one.

We just use centre pasters rather than new sheets each time.

Its great fun, and a little more challenging than you'd expect. Should come along to one and give it a bash.

Sounds good fun - I'll check the calendar

Just back in from the range and what a day. An excellent turn out for the first shoot of the year.

Good to see some regular faces i haven't seen in a while and great to see new faces too. I hope the lads that had their first shoot enjoyed the day.

The weather held up well and it was a bit cold but dry. There seemed to be an even higher standard with some of the Gallery lads coming along which helps encourage competition and push up standards.

Have to say i thoroughly enjoyed the day, the chat and the craic.

One thing to note, and i'll keep ye all updated as i get it. The calendar for the year is going to be changed. To allow for people that cannot make Sundays we are going to reshuffle the calendar so as to alternate shoots from Saturdays to Sundays. They may not be concurrent (IOW Saturday, Sunday, Saturday, Sunday, etc, etc). but it'll give people that find Sundays awkward a chance to take part this year.

Already looking forward to the next one. hope to see you all on the firing line again.
