penned up a ewe with a fine couple two days ago, but she wasn’t great to one of her lambs. She had one killed this morning from a puck id assume. Fair sickening

They can get very violent when they reject one.

Hi all, what can you do for a lamb who is constipated. He was born yesterday and still has a very clean backend.

He seems full but is lying out and not bothered sucking

Some liquid paraffin. Also have you checked gently with a cotton bud that he has an opening?

I tried a bit of fairy and within an hour he had a dirty back end. I think I heard to that here and I chanced it.

Have a few ewes in poor condition, thinking of giving them a fluke dose as I put them away to grass. What's best to go with and should i test them first.

Only dosing the few in poor form

Test them as it could be either liver fluke or rumen fluke. You'll know which to dose for then.

Was thinking of putting watered down Clik extra on the ewes soon to hopefully see them safe until searing time. Anyone do anything similar or use a different product?

Yea, we mix Clik Extra at one litre to five litres water and that makes it the same strength as Clikzin, it covers about six weeks.

Clik on the ewes seems to protect the lambs too until they're weaned

I’d say it’s a bit early for clik yet. There will be no flys for a few weeks yet unless u don’t have handling facilities letting them off.

Have. A ewe sick for past 3 days. Of her food. Scanned for a single. In good body condition.

have given her liquid life aid for twin lamb disease and given her calcium in case of miles fever. No improvement though.

has a bit of a twitch this evening. Any thoughts

No doubt it’s a touch early but may can be a real bad month for flystrike if the weather is warm and muggy. Obviously it’s all weather dependent so I’m just planning on a light treatment if needs be

not much more ya can do really in my opinion, keep going with the life aid and calcium. Try handling her soon to see if any progress but she just mightn’t be pushing

clik extra contains 5 times the active ingredient that clikzin does, you have to abide by the clik extra withdrawal period if you use Clik extra, even diluted.

Also the dye is very faint and hard to see if you dilute,

What's the best thing for a ewe with a chewed/chapped teat, she's letting them suck alright and I am just rubbing cheno unction on tits maybe 2 or 3 times a day, anyone have any better suggestions.

hi folks . Just a question. Have a lamb here born yesterday from a set of triplets which was fine till dismoring I found it very weak so I brought it inside and stomach tubed it and got it going . It now seems to have a scour which is seems to have traces of blood in it. I gave it some liquid aid and scour halt when I first noticed it but lamb seems quite weak . Expecting it to die . But curious to know has anyone ever seen a blood tainted scour in a Lamb before? Is it a bacterial infection or what ? Thanks for any feedback

not sure what it might be but i would give it 1cc.of alamycin as it always cures up the scours for me in lambs

They're still getting the same amount of active ingredient as in clikzin
